Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert by Pink Floyd
Well, I don't show off, don't criticize
I'm just livin' by my own feelings
And I won't give in, won't compromise
I just only have a steadfast heart of gold

I don't know why, I can't leave though it might be tough
But I ain't out of control, just livin' by my word
Don't ask me why, I don't need a reason
I got my way, my own way

That would be the Sonic theme song. :P

So just fake it, if you're out of direction
Fake it, if you don't belong
Fake it if you feel like infection

Seether-fake it

What goes up,must come down, yet my feet don't touch the ground.
See the world spinning upside down.
A mighty crash without a sound.

I can feel your every rage, step aside I'll turn the page.
Breaking Through your crazy maze.
Like a lazer beam my eyes on you.

Watch me blow the night away.
Watch me save the day.
Feel like a storm is getting close.
Headed your way.

Crush 40--Sonic Heroes.

Bonus points to those who can guess some of the works that the lyricist/performer of this song refers to:

Have you heard
It was on the news
Your child can read you like a bedtime story
Like a Magazine
Like a has-been out to grass
Like afternoon T.V.
Why is my life going by so fast.

hello (i love you)- roger waters

is it pink floyd's work?

let's write a song that we can sing to
and you can lead the choir
and put the hook where it hurts most
and you threw a spark that lit the candle
that set us all on fire
and sent a flame down the east coast

Yes--Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Roger's solo work on Radio KAOS.

Now I have one that's probably pretty obscure:

"In a G-load disaster from the rate of climb
Sometimes I'd faint and be lost to our side
But there's no reward for failure, but death
So watch me in the mirrors, keep in the glidepath"

Here's a new one, and in my edited post, you can also try and answer the lyrics I posted here, but I find these lyrics to be appropriate for this weekend:

"In the howling wind comes a stinging rain
See it driving nails
Into the souls on the tree of pain
From the firefly, a red orange glow
See the face of fear
Running scared in the valley below"

If someone can answer both lyrics (old set is in my previous post above), I can post the story behind the song and a link to the video where the song is used as a tribute to an organization who, among many others, will be remembered this weekend.

That is "Bullet the Blue Sky" by U2, and the previous one is "ME 262" by Blue Oyster Cult

Next:

As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.

This Land is Your Land, composed by Woody Guthrie.

"What did you dream
It's alright we told you what to dream
You dreamed of a big star
He played a mean guitar
He always ate in the Steak Bar
He loved to drive in his Jaguar"

Pink Floyd - Welcome to the Machine.
What fate has led me here?
Oh please forgive me dear.
I don't know if I could survive
on my own
I could have married you,
instead I buried you
Now we'll see
if I can fall asleep alone (alone)
