The cast list for X-Men: First Class is growing. Even though Taylor turned down the role of Beast, Edi Gathegi has taken the role of Darwin, a mutant who has the power of 'reactive evolution.' the ability to immediately physically adapt to any situation he may find himself in (i.e. placed in a dark room, his eyes adjust so that he can see as though it is brightly lit).

They approached Lautner for Beast?

I guess I could see that given the athleticism Beast requires, but I think Lautner's too young to play that role.

Any connection to the first X-Men movie trilogy?
