oh lordy. I knew Hot Topic wasn't prepared for the fandom that is Twilight. I really hope everyone is okay! I also wonder how they plan on proceeding from here...?

3000 people showed up to the mall in SF.
that's completely INSANE.

and only 600/500 people could go into Hot Topic.

they had to cancel the whole thing.
because fans were hurt.

Hahaha... I KNEW that Hot Topic didn't know what they were getting into... but on the upside, this bodes well for the movie, right?

Oh boy i feel extremly stupid..what actually was planned to happen at hot topic?

Hot Topic is hosting cast meetings all over the country. There was one this morning in San Francisco with Rob. The way it was to work was the first 500 people who went and paid $30 got a wristband, and then they would get into the signing later. They expected 200-500 people to show up.

Well. This morning about 3,000 (!!!) people showed up - there were people there trying to camp out, etc. They were just completely overwhelmed and the whole event got cancelled because they didn't know how to handle it. Blame may lay in the hands of fans for being uncooperative, but I'm on the side that Hot Topic and the mall itself just didn't imagine this being as big as it was. I don't know how they didn't see that coming, as far as they should have learned form Comic Con earlier this summer.

Anyway... drama drama drama...

Jesus bloody christ! I knew someting bad had happened (Perez Hilton junkie) but nothing that bad! This is getting ridiculous! I did read though that Twilight is making loads more that Quantum of Solace and it's not even out yet!
How weirds that?!
Apparently no one in AAmerica can book tickets for the premieres because they are all sold out!

I completely agree. I've found Rob to be rude and cocky in some of his interviews. In one of his interviews, he kept saying that Bella and Edward "really do like each other." He must have said it four times in a 6 minute interview. Bella and Edward do not like each other, they love each other!

I'm sorry you have to wait until December 3rd. The movie was initially going to be released December 12th in the U.S.A, but the release-date was pushed-up because the film studio wanted to avoid the "Harry Potter rush." Of course, that's irrelevant now since the new Harry Potter won't be released until Summer of 2009, but I'm glad the release date for Twilight is sooner than it was. Now I don't have to wait as long!

i can't handle that many screaming people.. i'll wait for twicon---- he has to go there..

I hope Dallas shows a little more respect for Rob.. and well EVERYONE. shame on the people running around like idiots.. and shame on hot topic and the mall for not preparing for the idiots.
