i liked solomon better since he was in the firsr movie thats who i always picture as sam.
if chaske has long hair in the movie i think that would be better

aww common guys..
the new sam fits the role better.
and it's not like solomon had a big/important role, and he was on screen for like 3 seconds.
Im excited to see him and the new wolf pack

Was Solomon actually cast as Sam? Because in the credits, he was something like 'Jacob's friend' .. so how come he is seen as Sam?
I thought Solomon was alright.

I think everyone saw him as playing the Sam role because he said those famous words "The Cullens don't come here" and Sam is the one who says them in the book, but yeah...it was never directly said he was Sam and so it'll be pretty easy to have Chaske take over the role without any trouble I think

I think we will get used to him as Sam, because there wasn't a big part for Sam in twilight.

But in the book, Sam is described as having short hair. Could you imagine how shaggy he would be as a wolf??!! That was one of my pet peeves actually, that awful long hair!

I just feel bad that Solomon got replaced because he seemed so excited and really wanted to be included in NM (from interviews of his I read.) I think he did a good job in Twilight even if it was short & sweet (that's how it is in the book.)
But after looking at some pictures of Chaske I think he does look more like the Sam we get to know in NM. (And he would need short hair, he'd be really shaggy wolf with long hair!) So I will just wait & see how he does in NM and will reserve judgement until Nov 20th.

I'm very sad about this. I really liked Solomon and Sam!
And I was all for Team PSU (Woot, Vikings!)
However, I have never actually seen this Chaske person, so I'll have to look him up before deciding if he would fit better as Sam.

I am really sad, disappointed...
Solomon became 'my' Sam. He has this alert and grave look in his eyes...like Sam should have.
Now I have to get used to a new Sam
on the other hand, now you can keep your wonderful hair, Solomon, whoot!
I was really worrying about that!
