at first I couldn't get over the fact that it was the same guy from Can't Hardly Wait...those of you who remember that movie know exactly what I'm talking about...all in all I thought he was great and gave off that fatherly feel that you get from the books

Another thing I loved....Peter as Carlisle.
I think he's gorgeous & when he smiles...it really touches his eyes & he just looks so warm. I just want to hug him! LOL

I think that he ACTED the part well enough, but I missed that he didn't do Carlisle's "faint English accent".

I thought he spoke very proper. I guess they needed him and his family to "blend in" with the other Americans. -shrug-

I just watched it and when I saw Doctor Robert Chase my jaw dropped. I was like . . . OME! He's Carlisle. Why didn't they cast him as Carlisle!?

Either way, Peter did a descent job and when he came inside the hospital I was like wow, he is wayyy better looking then Edward in that scene.

LOVED Peter Facinelli as Carlisle. He was great! Very sexy vampire indeed!!! Had no idea he was married to Jennie Garth til 'Twilight' came out, although I loved her on Dancing With The Stars. I'm a dork!

tw-nerd. He's an Aussie, like me. I got to see Jesse growing up on Aussie TV. So...no he never struck me as Carlisle. That photo makes him look Good.

But Peter WAS Carlisle for me. I didn't think of the accent, I couldn't get past his face...his smale. Perfect

Exactly! I love Can't Hardly Wait, so it was really weird seeing him in that and then him being Carlisle. Too weird. Lol. I absolutely love his portrayal of Carlisle though. He did such a fabulous job. And also, I couldn't get past his face enough to notice whether or not he had an accent either. Haha.

Yeah I know who you're talking about. He IS gorgeous but imo a little too young to play Carlisle...if that's possible. I swooned when Peter walked into the hospital doors though. He had such a confident swagger!
