I got someone to see the movie, and they got out and had to go buy the book. I told her that the book actually beat the movie (the book is always better than the movie), and she wanted to know how the heck the book could be better than that movie.

she is now on new moon after one week, which is big for her. :D

I work at Borders and I have people coming in all the time asking if I read any good books lately... :D

I tell them about Twilight and say "It's a good love story between and human and vampire. I've read the whole series a few times now and each time it gets better."

For some reason, that seems to get most people. I think it's the love story part because most girl/women love to read love stories.

As for my fiancé, I just told him he should read the books, and well with me sitting there reading giving him an almost play by play he gave in a read Twilight right before the movie came out. Then last week, he said to me that he really wants to read New Moon, so now he's going to read them all. I also got his mom to read them, and she got two of her friends to read them, lol.

I told my friends just to give it a chance, and when they did, they were hooked.
Another method I tried was reading annoyingly loudly from the book, until they gave in and read it for themselves. Keep that technique for if they are refusing, if you are annoying enough, it will work. :D

I just took my friend to the movie, and he became OBSESSED,
went out and bought the first two books the next day,
read them within 2 days, went and bought the third book the day after,
tried to finish it slowly so he can afford the 4th book,
failed and doing it slowly and borrowed money for the 4th

I was very happy to have someone share the saga with me

Is there really a need to convince people now? Who hasn't read Twilight by now? Seriously!! Most people read it now just to know what's going on.

Well.. it all starts with talking about it a lot in front of someone.. then you force them to see the movie, and they love it.. then you continue by nagging them to read it.. finally, you lend them your book and they are hooked :). Lol, I am a very persuasive person so I have gotten a bunch of people to read them.. even strangers in a book store :D
