I considered, for a moment, getting them in swedish since bookstores around here don't really have a wide choice of english literature in stock...
After seeing how they had translated the titles I turned to the net and ordered the english ones from there...
Twilight -> "if I could dream"
New moon -> "when I hear your voice"
Eclipse -> "the sound of your heart"
Since I adore the way SM write, I'm not gonna bother whit the translations anymore, seeing these titles just make me believe it would ruin my twilight experience :D

I wanted to start doing that when I was in Nice this September, but then I thought: I'm never ever going to read it in French, so I decided not to buy Twilight in French.

I do love the French titles though:
Twilight > Fascination
New Moon > Temptetion
Eclipse > Hesitation
Breaking Dawn > Revelation

Only Temptation doesn't really fit in my eyes :S

I've read all the books in English, which is a different language for me. I've only read Twilight in Dutch. One liners like humor me and do I dazzle you? are hard to translate, but I love the Dutch cover art with its bright colors and a subtitle.

I have all for books in English (my native language would be German). I didn't buy the books in German (and I'm not planning on doing it in the future) because I prefer books in the original language. Even the trailer is horrible in German.... It simply sounds wrong.

The translations of the titles are a bit strange:

Twilight > Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen (rough translation: until dawn)
New Moon > Bis(s) zur Mittagsstunde (until noon)
Eclipse > Bis(s) zum Abendrot (until sunset)
Breaking Dawn > Bis(s) zum Ende der Nacht (unitl the end of night)

The part "Bis(s)" is a kind of pun since the German words for "until" (bis) and "bite" (Biss) are similar.

^ I heard about that, playing with the words bis und Biss. I think it's really cool.

At the moment I am pondering about buying the books in dutch. But I'm not sure yet, I read them all in english. And I don't want to break the magic in reading them in my own language, if that makes sense.

Only Twilight (they kept Twilight as the title in dutch, to keep the reconisation I think) and New Moon (Nieuwe Maan) are out in dutch. Eclipse (Eclips) is being released november 12th.

Reading them in dutch would give me a bit of the feeling I am reading a new book, and it would lenghten the Twilight sage experience cause I would still have the release of the Breaking Dawn translation to look forward too.

Hmm, hard dicisions.

I think they should have the new moon and eclipse translations switched over. New moon, mostly is hesitation and Eclipse more Temptation according to me.

I plan on buying the Japanese version of the "Twilight" series. I fell in love with the pictures and now I want the whole thing, but what good is it if you can't read Japanese?! >.<

*sighs*

I guess I better start learning Japanese.

I really wish I could find cheaper versions of the books in French. I really want them, but at the moment, they are a little too pricey for me.
