If you've starved yourself from attacking a human( like carlisle did when he changed) and you attack the family pet and you use the excuse saying it ran away.
your in a room with someone who has tried to mask their funk with cologne and you just want to get rid of them for being unsanitary.

if you were to acidentally eat your guinie pig then get another one so you wont have to say anything
or maybe if you were changed and your friend s just happen to come to your house at that moment and to put it nicely no one ever sees them again
