Heres the deal... unless anyone is going to help me... I'm not going to do this...

Before the Twicon was even set in stone it was on the news page of the lexicon... I am not that lucky... I'm trying to do this but i can not do it alone...

I need sponsors...
I need enough to put down on a hall...
I need other ideas... back up ideas...
I need help...

This is something you can not do on your own... its something that needs help with planning...

I really and truly want to hold this but I might have to wait till next summer... which might be a better idea... and then through out this year i can do fundraisers so that we can maybe plan a bigger event... something other then just a ball... a ball and a few other ideas... chicago tour, trips to the museums in chicago, i don't know... I mean... this is Where edward is from... why not experiance the city not just a convention...

and yeah... I can't get celebrities or anything... but that should not be the only reason you go to these things... you should go to meet other twilighters...

and if what the Ladies who run the lexicon is true... Twilighters help fellow Twilighters... well then by god people... HELP!

Alu!

I'm being lazy and haven't read through all of the previous pages, so maybe this has been mentioned:

Are there enough UK Twilighters for a UK ball to go ahead too?

I'm getting no help... so i guess this will be canceled... although if i can get on the news page with this... then maybe i'd get more help... but i don't see that happening.

Hi, I don't know how far this has gone but I would love this idea to get going. Please fill me in on the details! Where in the US would it be held? do you need donations, how much? Etc. :) I'm willing to help a fellow twilighter. ;)

I hope you all realize I am forced to post pone this till next year and that in doing so I will be adding things to the weekend so that it is a weekend long thing instead of just one night. I'm just trying to figure out what that weekend will include...

Boat Tour of Chicago? (The place Edward called home for the first 17 years of his life
Navy Pier Night? (Ummm hello can you say Giant Ferris Wheel and other things)
A day at Six Flags Great America? (Come one... lets add to the fear factor with some Giant Roller Coasters and a water park!)

The Space on these would be limited since i would have to rent a bus or 4.

I might have found a hall... is anyone opposed to finger foods? Cause I think that might be our best bet... just let me know... please visit the site...

Hm, I think more people would respond to this if it were exposed. Ill check the site out when I'm able to get on a computer but maybe you can ask the Mods to move it to a more active side of the board. I think its a really good idea. People just need to see this!

I've been trying to get it on the news page or blog page or whatever its called... and they won't run it cause its not set in stone... and I'm thinking... ummnm.... Twicon wasn't set in stone when they posted that up...

And I agree, I to think this would get more if it was exposed in the right way.

Have you tried PMing them? I mean, I know what you mean because I've seen all the unofficial conventions they've got posted up and I think your twilight theme is more than fit to be in the announcements as well!
