I'm reading a very amazing mystery fic by Persephonesfolly. Though AU, Persephone has done a terrific job of placing Carlisle right smack in the middle of a Sherlock Holmes novel.

Dr. Cullen, I presume? is absolutely fantastic!

^^I just read that, and it was actually rahter good! Finally, a canon story that lacks lemons, and it mixes in proper Holmes!
Its short, but well written, as much as it can to stick to Sir Doyle's style.
Its not really an AU, its just pre-Twilight. Doesn't really change anything in Twilight.
