(LOL, I had to suck in my laughter when I read what you wrote Fatima. I wasn't even thinking about that!
(So does that mean I should wait for Derek to post? ...I guess it would be helpful to get ino the cave first.
This is going to be a long post since I'm trying to make it cohesive to the twilight mafia thread...long story. Just skim if you get lazy. )
"May I enter first? I could explore the cave while I'm invisible and come back outside." The new vampire spoke up as they were about to enter.
Matilda looked at the others for their judgment before lingering on Johanna. Even the Santiago's light seemed to stop moving to wait for them.
"There is no danger in the cave, but you may go in if you think that is best," Johanna said to the new vampire.
The girl seemed to ponder this a moment before declining and returning to her original place behind Matilda and the others. As they continued to walk through the cave, Matilda thought more and more about how quickly Christmas was approaching. Sure, she would spend Christmas with her family at the Volturi but she couldn't help but miss her own. Mabel, Charlotte, her mother...even Quintessa. Her eyebrows furrowed together as she recalled the first time they had met since they were both human. Suddenly, a familiar pale light caused her to tense as she spotted it pulsing from the corner of her eye. Matilda pushed it out of her mind. As much as she wanted to burst out of the cave altogether, they had an issue at hand--and unfortunately, her job as a guard came first.
Matilda's mouth pulled into a frown as she turned her attention back to the icy light in front of her. It seemed to be the only source of guidance that led the way through the dark, dark cave. Finally, it slowed and hovered over what seemed to be a pile of...holy crap.
