SweetKay: I'm in the middle of ch:7 and I cannot put the story down. Charlie and Seth came to visit the Cullen's. Gah, poor Edward. Good recommendation.

I know 50 Shades isn't fanfiction anymore, but I'm hoping the mods allow me to post this here.

50 Shades is now the "it" book, and everyone is talking about it. I've had several people ask if I've read it, and I usually say that, yeah, I've read it a while ago, and kind of leave it at that. My immediate family knows that I'm twilight obsessed, but I don't usually broadcast it. I'm curious as to what you guys tell people when asked about the book. I've envisioned my conversations going like this:

"Have you read that book 50 Shades?"
"Oh, I read it a while ago. It used to be a fanfiction story"
"Fanfiction?"
"Yeah, see, people that really like Twilight, or other stories, they read fanfiction. It's stories written about the characters by fans."
"Oh...(Silence)"

or

"Have you read 50 shades? Wow, its really racy."
"Yeah, It's a good book, I read it a while ago"
"When did you read it?"
"I actually read it online as Twilight fanfiction before it was published. If you think that's racy, you should read some of the other stories out there. They make 50 Shades look tame"
"Oh...(Silence)"

I know. It's frustrating because there are some truly wonderful and often much better written stories in the fandom, and NO ONE will listen to me. They're free, they're available and they're awesome, and yet, since they are still fanfics, they aren't real stories. They just don't know what they're missing.

Moonless Night, I don't usually broadcast my Twilight obsession or my constant fanfic reading either. I get looked at a little funny for my Twilight obsession usually, so I've been hesitant to say much about fanfic. I'm not sure 50 Shades has been as much of a West Coast thing as an East Coast thing though (I'm in the West). Anybody else have an impression about this?

Smitten Twilight~ I am a West Coaster.I think it is getting bigger my mommy group just brought it up for book club night and I never even brought it up.

I have to agree with some of you and let me just state this MOTU was one of my fav but there are definately others that were written way better. In fact Khar is one talented writer and it makes me sad to see it not on shelves and going only for $2.99 on e-books.

Does anyone has a copy of Fallout to send me?
