1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?
I would but I would barely use it because I mean seriously a mercedes??? That is too much even though they are getting married...

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
I think that the decision should have been Billy's because it's his son and Charlie probably only wanted Jacob back so that Jacob could crash the wedding...

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
I first thought that Charlie was going to kill them but then it shocked me when it said that he almost fell on the floor laughing...Renee's reaction however was what I expected...In Eclipse she was such a kind character who pretty much expected it when Bella and Edward visited her in Eclipse....

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up
I was holding my breath that nothing bad would happen....However meeting Jacob in the woods was a better idea...

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?

I can relate very well to her reaction - I hate feeling indebted to people, no matter how sweet or selfless they are, and no matter how much they insist that I don't owe them. But I have to say, the current state of my car is pretty sad...I might be more willing to take him up on the offer because of that. ;) But seriously, I don't think any amount of time with Edward would get me used to his generosity, so despite how they love each other and plan on being together forever...I still don't blame her for being reluctant.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.

Yeah - I think that was overstepping his boundaries a bit. But still very sweet. He has always thought of Jacob as a son - and was still holding out for him to be a son-in-law someday, probably. But you can't tell another person how to parent unless they are breaking the laws. I wonder if Charlie really believed that Billy was being neglectful.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?

Funny - but definitely letting Bella off the hook too easily. I thought the plot was a little weak, here. He should have had some kind of talk with Edward, or some scene with him that would explain his acceptance a little better. "Your mother will kill you for me" doesn't really sound like enough of a reaction - like Charlie was shirking his responsibility as a disgruntled father or something. Especially when it didn't turn out that way. I thought Renee's reaction was kind of a let-down as well. I mean it makes sense that she should be understanding, but you'd think she would want to get to know Edward better anyway.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?

I kind of answered this one in the Eclipse discussion - but I did think that Jacob would show up. Cop-out reason - I thought it would make the story more interesting, so I figured SM would throw it in. I wasn't nervous for the wedding...it seemed like everything was as it should be.

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?
yea I probably would of been the same way as Bella to accept such a gift like a car. I mean it would be nice to know if I had someone who loved me like Edward does Bella, to want to give me nice things but still I would accepted it the same as Bella.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
Well the Blacks are like family to Charlie and Bella. So I think he did it more in that matter rather than the chief police searching for another person. He was a concerned family member in a way.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?

Well I expected him to get all crazy so his silent fury was a bit expected for me. Didn't really expect him to accept and laugh over about Bella having to tell Renee. I guess I also expected Renee's reaction to be like that. She is a very observant person and knows how happy Bella is with him and knows that she makes good decisions.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?

I was so excited for the wedding. I was glad that Bella didn't complain and fuss throughout the thing. I kind of thought Jacob would show up at the ceremony.

I would feel the same way. But if he kept insisting, then I would happily take it.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
I think Charlie goes overboard with the subject of Jacob. I wish he would get over it!

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
I was expecting worse from Charlie, but I expected Renee to understand.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?
It was an excited nervous. It was finally happening and I was relieved. I was expecting Jacob to be there an make a dramatic scene and try and stop the wedding. So glad it didn't happen.

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?

If someone, even a complete stranger, offered me a Mercedes Guardian, I would accept. I'm that selfish. I would jump up and down and offer them my life as their indentured servant (especially if the car was from someone like Edward), but I would accept the gift happily.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.

Charlie loves Jake. Who cares if he has the right? Jake was a close family friend that Charlie new well. He posted them out of genuine concern just as much as professional interest. I think that's fair, even though it sucks for Bella.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?

I wasn't surprised. It sounded like Bella and Charlie were building sweet Renee up to be too scary from the beginning. I had a feeling Charlie's plan would backfire. I was kind of hoping to hear him scream and yell at Edward, though. It would have been fun to watch him threaten Edward's life while Edward stifles a laugh.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?

I didn't think Jake would show up at the wedding. I did not see that coming at all, but I was happy it did. I figured we hadn't seen the last of Jake, but I was expecting a pen pal relationship or something. I have no idea why.

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?
I'm sorry..I wish I can say that I am so un'selfish that I would have responded like Bella..But I'm not. Of course I would take the car :) I wouldn't if the guy was poor, but Edward is so rich. And the Cullens have so many cars..And it would make him happy. No harm done.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation. Yes, I think he was justified to do it. Jacob is almost like a son to Charlie, and he loves him. And Charlie does not know that Jacob has run off in wolf-form because he chose to leave. He might think something really bad has happened to him. So of course Charlie would do whatever he could to find him.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
I was sure Charlie would freak...He has been sceptical and hostile towards Edward for quite some time. So his reaction was very surprising. I thought Renee would be understanding, but I also thought that she would try to encourage them to wait until after college. But I guess what Renee saw when they visited in Florida had her convinced that Bella and Edward were meant to be.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?
I was not nervous. I was so excited. This was something I had been waiting for ever since my first read of Twilight.
About Jacob showing up, I really was not sure about that. But I thought that he might, since Edward did invite him. But I was a bit anxious about how he would behave if he did show up. I was hoping he wouldn't try to ruin their big day.

more yeah but there is a no:

1.) HECK YESH!!!!! any accident pron klutzy person like me who has the hand eye coordination of a person with bad hand-eye-coordination does not need a fast car that draws attention + it's way to much money to spend on little old me.

2.) No because it's a gift and if it makes him happy then i'll do it... maybe.
2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
hmmm... well i feel as though he should have left it up to Billy BUT seeing as though he was Billy's best friend and was truly conserned he was justified, he just should have respected the decision of Billy. I know I'm contradicting myself but This one confuzzles me.
3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
i expected Charlie to use that gun!!!! To start screaming things like "you @$$hole" and the assumtion he made about her being prego, i expected that. Renee; i was fairly sure she was going to be excepting of it after seeing b+e in Eclipse and the observations she made about them.
4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?
No/yeah.

a.) b+e were gonna be having sex for the first time in a matter of pages and well even though I didn't expect her to get hurt in any way i was nervous about it

b.) she was going to be a vampire soon and I wasn't nervous that Eddy wouldn't be able to stop;I was nervous that she might change her mind. [ and yes that big might scared me more than anything]

1.Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?
More than likely, yes. I'm much more comfortable giving than receiving, and a gift so extravagant would probably make me self-conscious.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
Of course. Charlie had absolutely no idea what was going on and all of a sudden his bestfriends son goes missing? I would be a little worried about Charlie if he hadn't reacted like that. Even if it's "outside of his jurisdiction" (which I don't think it is because Missing Child posters aren't necessarially a police matter, they're a public service matter, I don't believe Charlie was acting as Police Chief Swan in this case, I believe he was acting as Billy's bestfriend.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
Charlie's reaction was definitely not what I expected. He had a stronger reaction when Edward came back into her life, I was a little surprised. Renee's was exactly what I thought it would be, though.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?
I was excited for the wedding! I couldn't wait to see what Alice planned =D And it was absoultely perfect, too. Leave it to Alice to make it amazing. And yes, I figured Jake would show up...though I did figure it might be a little earlier, but I knew he would. It wouldn't have been like him to stay away, he isn't like that. He loves Bella too much.

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?

Yes. I'm the same way with gifts. I dont need that kinda stuff. All I would want is Edward himself. That's gift enough.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.

Hm. Good question. I think he genuinely cared about Jake so I can see why he'd do it. He didn't understand why Billy didn't seem to be worried so yeah, I can see why he felt the need to post them.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?

I loved both their reactions. I expected Charlie to be a little more upset though.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?

I was nervous. Only because it was such a huge deal and such a long time coming that it HAD to be perfect and I was a little nervous as to how it would turn out. As for Jacob...I think I'm the only person who wishes he hadn't came. I wanted it to be all about Bella and Edward for once, with no Jake. But...it was a gift to her and it made her happy so I can't dwell too much.

1. Would you have been as reluctant as Bella was to accept the gift of a new car, even one as extravagant as the Mercedes, from someone like Edward?
Yes, I think I would have been just as reluctant. I can understand her reluctance because the car was as extravagant as it was. Bella does not like being the center of attention and that car stands out like a sore thumb.

2. Did you feel Charlie was justified in putting up the various posters of Jacob around town or should he have left that up to Billy? Remember, even as the police chief, Charlie doesn't have jurisdiction over the reservation.
Obviously Charlie doesnt know where/how/why Jake disappeared so I think he was justified. He believe Jake is a troubled teen and is in need of rescue and help. His putting effort into finding Jake shows that Charlie cares about him, and there isn't anything wrong with that.

3. What were your thoughts about the way Charlie reacted to the engagement? About how Renee reacted?
haha I thought Charlie's reaction was perfectly natural. His 18 year old daughter comes home to tell him that she is getting married to her boyfriend fresh out of high school, people don't really do that anymore and so his reaction was natural lol. I was a little surprised at Renee's reaction though. I figured she would have been more upset about it, and would have wanted Bella to wait a while before she got married. However, at the same time, I wasn't that surprised because Renee has some odd parenting techniques. She lest Bella make her own decisions and her own mistakes so I guess her reaction was also normal...for her.

4. Were you nervous for the wedding at the end of this chapter? Did you think Jacob would show up?
I was only nervous because Bella was freaking out. Mostly I was excited to see what it would turn out like, and i wanted to see Edward's reaction to Bella walking down the asile. Whether or not Jake would show up at the wedding never actually crossed my mind lol. I mean I knew ahead of time that he would get a section of the book from his point of view so I knew hed come back, I just didn't think about him at Bella's wedding.
