Did anyone on here mention yet that Ben Barnes is trying for the part of Aro?

I LOVE Ben Barnes, but somehow he's not what I pictured for Aro -- maybe a little older and wiser looking -- definitely not someone that I'd lust after -- LOL!!

I concur with other people's statements that Ben Barnes is too young to play Aro. But, y'know if they can keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob by using CG, I'm sure they could cast Ben Barnes as Aro using CG.

I really imagined Aro as Richard Harris's version of Dumbledore for some bizarre reason... (feel free - call me crazy)

Ben Barnes as Riley in Eclipse, however... they could beef up the role for Riley just like they beefed up James in Twilight.

Personally i can't wait for New Moon to come out...not surprises there - but I'm really interested because Stephenie Meyers website announced that Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is stepping down for Chris Weitz... and the only thing that disappointed me about the Twilight movie was how they sped way too quickly through the foundation of Bella and Edwards relationship - WAY too quickly - it would have been a joke to anyone who hadnt actually read the books - SO i can't wait to see what a fresh new director will do. I LOVED the Twilight movie - but was just a teensy bit disappointed about how quick the start of the novel was portrayed... even though i guess that comes down to just how a long a movie can possibly go for.

So GO NEW MOON WITH A NEW DIRECTOR!!!!

Although I do agree with the idea of many of the suggestions to play Jane, Aro, Alec... I seriously think--- no I know---that they won't cast any super A-listers for these roles. I'm sure they will cast little-known actors who will for sure end up being break-out stars because of these roles. It's cheaper too-- just imagine how much Dakota Fanning or Johnny Depp would cost...and they already have to pay Rob and Kristen more too.

I'm kinda interested in seeing who they are going to get to play Jane and Alec, simply because they do have recurring roles and unless they film the rest of the movies together then the young actors will age too much (growth spurts can't be stopped unfortunately). The other option is to look for people that look younger than they really are, someone who's done growing which takes away the worries about younger actors.

I do think that Aro, Caius and Marcus are all around the same age so people in their 40s would be a good fit.

Dakota fanning or AnnaSophia Robb would make a good Jane.. BUT they would cost Heaps.

that was one of the reasons why i liked the cast of Twilight. The cast we basically nobodies. I like nobody actors & actresses.
