Hello fellow Twilight Fans! Happy to find a site like this! Please allow me to introduce myself, my screen name is perrysangel, which has nothing to do with Twilight. When registering for this site, all the screen names I picked were taken, so I'll go with one that I use on some other sites. It comes from my love of Steve Perry - Journey. Hopefully some of you know who that is. lol!
I came aboard the Twilight train late, just this past summer actually. I work in a government office, so I am face to face with people on a daily basis. Thru the early summer, I kept seeing women of all ages reading these "Twilight" books. At first I would sort of roll my eyes, and think, OMG, don't these women have anything better to read? Then, one day, a woman older than me was reading "Eclipse", and we got into a discussion. She went on and on about these books by Stephenie Meyer and how they really are not just for teenagers. She turned me onto these books! On July 4th weekend, I rented the books "Twilight" and "New Moon" from the library. I read both books that weekend. Then came "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn". It wasn't until I read all four books that I then saw the movies! Immediately, I bought all four books, re-read them and then purchased the movies. I have the movie "Eclipse" on reserve at a local store, waiting for the release! As far as a favorite book, I'd have to say it is "Twilight", it forms the basis for the other books. It was captivating, romantic, action-filled. Everything that I enjoy in a book. I could actually see the book coming alive in my mind while reading it.
My favorite character is Edward, of course! His personality, his presence, his manners! Exquisite! Add to the fact that I have always had a fascination with vampires, well, Edward just fits the bill!
I can't really say I have a favorite minor character. I'm re-reading the books again, so, I'll get back with you on that!
I love to read of course. In addition to Stephenie's books, I enjoy Jane Austen and Nicholas Sparks to name a few. I dabble in oil paints, bike ride, photography.
I am a life-long Michigan resident, I live in the thumb area. So, if you hold up your left hand,I'm in the area where your thumb meets your forefinger.
I am divorced, in my 50's. I have one son who is in the Air Force, stationed in Texas right now. He is the light of my life! As mentioned before, I am a state government worker, looking forward to retirement in 4 years! More time for Twilight!
I am so happy to have made an acquaintance with these books of Stephenie's, I wish I had read these sooner!
