My name is Jaime, but I run the fan group "100 Monkeys VA" for fans of Jackson Rathbone's band 100 Monkeys in the lovely state of Virginia. I'm mid-20's-ish and was a bit of a late joiner to the whole Twilight fandom thing. One of my best friends convinced me to read the books about a year after the first movie came out. At that point I'd still not seen the movie either. Then over the summer I was heading out west to Comic Con in San Diego when I found out that 100 Monkeys would be playing while I was there. Originally when I heard about a Twilight cast member being in a band I assumed it would be mediocre at best but I was very pleasantly surprised. I even hopped on another plane the next day so I could see the band again in San Francisco 2 days later!
As you might have already figured out, I'm a Jasper fan (thus the interest in what Jackson Rathbone's been up to) and I'm also Team Edward (though I love Jacob as well - I just have a hard time justifying Team Jacob when I know how the story ends).
I may be going to my first Twi-con this April which will be interesting if it works out. There will be one in Arlington, VA which isn't too far from where I live. I'm waiting to find out who all will be there and I'm crossing my fingers hoping that 100 Monkeys will show up and perform. Nothing's confirmed yet so I'll just have to wait and see. As for now - with Eclipse just out on DVD I'm curious to hear other folks' points of view on that movie and what is to come for the 2 Breaking Dawn films. I can say after visiting Baton Rouge last weekend (for a 100 Monkeys show of course) that the "Jasper" character will have fantastic hair for this movie since he's sans-wig again for the first time since Twilight.
