Hi! I've just joined this forum and I thought I'd just let you know a bit about me.

How did you pick your screen name?
My internet handle has been 'Tornado' since I started chatting online in the mid-nineties. I thought it suited my personality. My mother suggested 'Spitfire' as an alternative.

How did you come to read Twilight and which book is your favorite?
I resisted everything to do with Twilight for a while because I have been terrified of vampires since I was a child, and I hated anything that was in the horror genre. However, everyone kept saying it was so romantic, and as it was a fantasy type romance I knew that would appeal to me. My favorite scenario for anything, whether it be book, TV show or movie is as follows: girl meets boy. Boy does something amazing that proves to girl that he is not normal. Girl must find out how boy can do this. They (usually) fall in love.
Finally, when Twilight was coming out on DVD, I thought I could risk seeing it, as I could then forward through any horror bits. So I watched the first teaser trailer on the internet, just to see if it was something I might like. From the moment Edward looks up into Bella's eyes when he saved her from the van I was hooked, and watched everything on the internet that I could find, and bought both the movie and all four books as soon as I could.
My favourite of all of them is Twilight. I love beginnings!

Who do you like best: Edward, Bella, or Jacob?
I liked Edward best. There's so much to discover in him.

Who is your favorite minor character?
I like Angela Weber.

What are your hobbies?
Reading, writing, watching movies, daydreaming, genealogical research, spending time with family.

Where are you from (general area like Montana, not exact town!)
I am from Queensland, Australia.

How old are you? (In general, like teen, 20's, 30's, 40's etc)
I have just turned 40. :|

Well, that's it. I'm really looking forward to chatting with you all! :D

Welcome to the Lex! Pretty much everyone is friendly and relaxed here. Have a good time!

And, from a 42-yr-old to a 40-yr-old ... 40's really not so bad. Just kind of surprising, like, how did that happen? Age is just a number. :D

Yes, I was definitely going, "I was only 25 just yesterday!" when I turned 40.
