Just testing this out... now. Nope. For me, it's ctrl which produces code -- the daisy-key gives me application-specific commands. Opt-daisy doesn't do anything at all. But I'm using Firefox. Let me see what happens on safari. brb...
Well, on safari, opt-ctrl gives me code too. And neither ctrl nor daisy works by itself. So I guess I'm finding the same thing you are. You haven't changed your version of safari lately, have you? I'm using 4.0.4.
One interesting thing I notice...Safari seems to bring up Lex pages significantly faster than Firefox does. Unfortunately I'm pretty much set in my ways using Firefox. But it's definitely like having someone turbocharge the Lex!
