What happened to the keyboard shortcuts for BB formatting?

if it doesnt work on the mac have you tried pressing the apple button on the keyboard instead of control? it works on every other program on a mac.

though on my mac i use the control button . . . hmm

It's a good thought. But I'm afraid apple-U is the shortcut for pulling up HTML code. BBcode uses the ctrl key in place of the usual apple/daisy key for formatting functions. It works for bold and italic (just used it now). And on every other phpBB3 board I've been on it works for underline too (had to do that one using the button just now). There's some glitch in this template which has assigned the ctrl-U command to highlighting the link for the User Control Panel instead. I was just hoping someone could pull a plug somewhere and sort it!

UPDATE: this has now been fixed, at least for Mac users. All the Mac keyboard shortcuts for BBcode are now in working order -- thank you 24601!!!

I believe there are still no working shortcuts for PC users, but then as I understand it, there never used to be any in the old days either....

Am I the only Mac Safari user who has to push ctrl + alt/opt in order to get her BBCode to work? It used to be just cmmd...

Just testing this out... now. Nope. For me, it's ctrl which produces code -- the daisy-key gives me application-specific commands. Opt-daisy doesn't do anything at all. But I'm using Firefox. Let me see what happens on safari. brb...

Well, on safari, opt-ctrl gives me code too. And neither ctrl nor daisy works by itself. So I guess I'm finding the same thing you are. You haven't changed your version of safari lately, have you? I'm using 4.0.4.

One interesting thing I notice...Safari seems to bring up Lex pages significantly faster than Firefox does. Unfortunately I'm pretty much set in my ways using Firefox. But it's definitely like having someone turbocharge the Lex!
