Yes, I saw that. I'm looking forward to it, too!

Sorry for double posting, I just thought this was the best place to talk about the new teaser for the new trailer. Just in passing, how many trailers have trailers of themselves???

Although I liked the scenes they showed, I did not like Edward's hair in the latter part of the trailer. And, no offence to Rob, but in these shots it looks like Edward's put on weight. And they're all extra pale. Why can't we have some consistency between hair and makeup!!!??? They're not supposed to change, for crying out loud!

Just saw the trailer and it is just that...a teaser. Although I must disagree with Tornado here. I love the way Edward looks here, it's Carlisle's hair that is getting under my skin. I mean I absolutely love the looser look, I cannot stand the color. It looks like a bad dye job.

Carlisle's hair has always been a bit ... odd, at least since New Moon. I though Rob's remark on the Eclipse commentary about Peter Facinelli using it as a cereal bowl was right on the money.

:banghead: This is the point I am reaching about hair, makeup, and costuming for these movies. I don't think I'm a really demanding moviegoer. I accept that it is virtually impossible for human actors to accurately portray modern vampires, and I'm really great with the work they are doing and the special effects strategies and compromises they have come up with. I'm cranky about some costume choices - like the light colors going out the window - but I can see how they are needed changes, since we are using humans, rather than actual vampires. But bad costumes? Alice would never allow that. Changing skintone? It doesn't change! (Maybe the effect looks different if the actor is sick or has gotten some sun?) And hair changes? *collapses in despair* HP didn't have this much trouble - just some quibbles over Emma's hair. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Pirates of the Carribean .... I met a former Hollywood cosmetologist recently. I should ask her what she thinks.

Arrgh. :heartbroke:

Yes, and it doesn't really matter if the hair changes in Harry Potter, but for vampires in this mythology it does, as their hair does not grow. I guess they could colour it, but it shouldn't be cut, because if it is, it isn't going to grow back!

*sigh* At least the hair and skin tones will be consistent between BD parts 1 and 2!

The hair and makeup for the last two movies might not be all that consistent considering that they had different teams doing it. The only ones that have remained consist are the pack and the humans except Bella (read wig used in EC). It's pretty bad that the makeup can't remain consistent when I've seen better jobs on things like LOTR and POTC.

Now, if the TW vamps were a little more like the vamps from Vampire Diaries, the constant changing wouldn't bother me cuz the vamps from TVD can do what we consider normal bodily functions and have a human and vampire diet.

I know! C'mon Summit, can't we at least have a trailer which is longer than a few seconds?

Re: hair and makeup. I think they have done a good job with Kristen's makeup. Bella looks really unwell in the second shot of her in the teaser trailer which sharply contrasts with the 'pregnancy glow' which women often experience when pregnant and therefore drives the point home about the danger of Bella's situation.

I would like more consistency with the skin tones, hair and makeup of the other characters. Rob looks far too pale in the first shot and Carlisle's hair has changed so much since the first movie.

I just want a longer trailer now though!

It looks like my wish for a longer trailer is going to be granted. I just heard that the second full-length trailer for BD: part 1 is going to be released on Wednesday, September 14th. Very excited! :D

Yes, the 15 second bit that was released on the weekend is a teaser for the new trailer.
