Hello everyone,
Jazz Girl ~ I think you are right. Once everyone sees Rob take a healing step forward so can everyone else who has been affected by this.
Marielle ~ Thank you for responding to my post.
I’m sorry to hear you are fretting about the premiere and the popularity of BD2 and/or the other Twilight films. I pray you and everyone else who is fretting will have peace about all of this very soon. In regards to the situation, my only concern right now is Kristen's safety (as many have said on this site and elsewhere). I pray she will always be safe.
Okay, moving on. In regards to the popularity of the Twilight films, I’m so grateful that this situation did not happen after movie 1, 2 or 3 because I really would have been upset
and for a very long time. If this situation would have happened then it could have jeopardized the quality/budget of said film(s) and not to mention it could have jeopardized the film(s) ever being made. There would have been more to be sorry about. I really wish this would have NEVER happened, but I am soooooo relieved this situation did NOT cost us any of the films.
As far as the future popularity of the Twilight films goes, if they become unpopular or even make the Twilight books unpopular (which I doubt would happen), it still can’t take any of it away from us and I don’t think this situation will hurt any future Twi-Universe books SM would decide to publish, if any. Before any of this happened, I wasn’t expecting any new Twi-Universe material until about 15-20 years or so, if at all. (Well, other than the Graphic Novels, of course). I mean, if the Twi-Universe vampires lose popularity, what's the worse that can happen? [**wink
, wink
**] (I hope you catch my crazy drift
. If you don't, it's okay. It's just wishful thinking). In any case, even if we never get another Twi-Universe book ever, we will still have the complete Twilight Saga films and books.
As far as the possible awkwardness for the Twilight cast and everyone else at the premiere and other BD2 events goes, I hope they all put on an Oscar-Award winning performance that will take some, if not all, of the tension away.
Regarding releasing a new trailer:
I like your suggestion that a new trailer be released. I’m all for that. I'm all for them releasing any kind of new trailer, to be honest. However, I do think one without vampire-Bella would help those affected by what happened. Unfortunately, right now, the less we connect vampire-Bella and Kristen I think the better. From looking at the BD2 posters and clips, vampire-Bella really looks and acts different than before, maybe that and the great story line will be enough of a distraction for everyone to enjoy BD2.
