Hmm, okay.
Well, all I remember is when I read that line, I instantly thought it would finish "remember I love you!" Or something.
So, it could not be that, or it could be similar to what I think, or anything else I currently can't think of.
He, being a boy, could very easily have thought he had subconsiously expresssed his love to Kat, and assumed she returned it, as they talked about their plans. But since they had never spoke of it point blank, he could have been slightly confused, and therefore, now with Peeta, straightening this out will be even worse.
*shrugs* Just my theory on Gale.

I would hope even as a boy he would remember declaring himself.
Unless he thought that "let's run away together" was some sort of marriage proposal.

I thought that Gale was gonna tell Katniss that he loved her in that line too. You could tell that he did when he talked about the whole "we could run away together" thing, but he should have spit it out earlier. Then Katniss could've assessed (sp?) her feelings for him for sure. Then she wouldn't be in as much of a quandery of whether to choose Gale or Peeta. And the remember was probably in there for her to know that he loved her. Not to remember from him telling her before but for her to remember during the games that he cared.

But you can tell that the author did that for a reason, to torture us! Now we'll have to read the next one or go crazy!

I know! The ending made me so mad because I wanted to have the second book there so I could read it. I remember just getting to the part where it said, "End of Book 1" I was all like, "NOOOO!!! MUST HAVE MORE INFORMATION NOW!!!!"

Does anyone know how many books there's actually going to be? I heard its going to be a trilogy although Im not sure how true that is...

It's the Hunger Games trilogy soo there will be 3 books. They might change that though
