Happy Birthday, VampLover!!

I was stung by a wasp in 3rd grade. That entire day would be a sob story, but it's just too freakin' funny by this point. We were on a field trip to a local cavern and they had a "pirate ship" play structure with a rope ladder inside that went up to the deck. The boy climbing the ladder in front of me kicked me in the eye on his way up, and I got a black eye. Then, inside the cavern, they made us join hands, so we'd make a chain when they turned off all the lights so we could see how dark it was. The girl in front of me let go of my hand, and I ran into a stalactite. Huge bump on my head. FUN!! After our tour, we had lunch outside and played kickball before returning to school. I felt something REALLY hurt my upper arm, and reflexively grabbed at it. Turns out, it was a wasp, and when I grabbed my arm, I sealed the angry thing inside my shirt. So, it stung me five times (that's how many welts the moms counted) before I let go and it flew away. Ouch. I had a reaction to it, but obviously, not a fatal one. Now, whenever a bee gets close I run away flailing and squealing like a 2-year-old. Hee!

ATTENTION: Did anyone else notice that GNE said "ripped my shirt off" and "insides of both my legs" in one post???
She did! She did! Dhirrrrty! (ref: p. 90)

SPOOON!!! You are bad. Just bad! *shakes head*

Well, at least I didn't say "between my legs." Now THAT would've been dirrty.

That post had been up all day and no one commented. That says a lot about Spoon, doesn't it? I'm surprised Nima or Twimom didn't pick it up. Thank goodness Fry isn't here, or he'd really give me heck. LOL

By the way, Happy Belated Lexiversary for CherryKnots!
My mind was on my meeting all day!!

Spooncha-That really is a sob story. I am glad you can look back on it now with laughter. I am curious what your parents thought when you came home? Did it look like you were on a field trip or like you had been in a war zone?

GNE, it makes me laugh when I see that you were the last one to post and the time is 1 am. How do you function?

*Twimom hangs head in shame*

Spoon, I am so glad you caught that... I guess I was too busy reading quickly while chatting last night and didn't pay attention. Must be more careful next time! And poor Spoon... How "Bella-like" was that field trip?

Wow. I can't believe I let that one slide. *stands in a corner with Twimom*

QOTD: What's your favorite knock knock joke? I have this image in my mind of Rhage bugging the heck out of everyone with corney knock knock jokes. I ususally do my best to not remember them. I prefer the ones that actually use a name like a real person coming to the door.
  • Knock Knock?
    Who's there?
    Duane
    Duane who?
    Duane the bathtub, I'm dwouning...bahahahaha!
PSD: Eric Northam (Sookie) on True Blood has a good face, but in the books he's a Viking and should be bulkier. Who would like that pressing you against the hood of his Corvette..."Yield to me."

May I use the excuse that I been ill and unable to comprehend? No, *kicks ground* didn't think so. *goes to stand in corner with Nima and TwiMom.*

Oh beloved Spoon thank you for getting us back into the gutter! I do seriously wonder what your parents' reaction was? You poor thing - I'm glad it is funny now!

QOTD: I once had a little book of "Knock Knock" jokes. It was cute-ly illustrated. Although, I cannot remember any of them. Must have wiped that memory to make room for cramming for architectural exams.:? Eh...at least I saved my childhood memories like.... :o DARN!

I do like the actor portraying Eric on Trueblood. He is quite yummy as Eric should be. Speaking of Vikings, how about Wulf?

ETA: Happy Lexiversary CherryKnots!!!

HAPPY BELATED LEXIVERSARY, CHERRYKNOTS!!!
(I lost track, too...sorry!)

Hee. Fortunately, my mom was one of the field trip moms, so she was there to witness the entire ordeal as well as patch me up along the way. She didn't start shaking her head about the whole thing until later that night, when she was sure everything was going to be okay with the stings. Bless her. My dad learned not to ask too many questions early on, so he just left it to my mom and retreated to his favorite chair.

MEEE? Bad? Oh, the affront to my dignity! For shame, GNE!

On that note: Nima, have I mentioned how much I LOVE your pictures? Yumz.

ETA: Una! Nice pic, too! Yes, please!
