I don't think any more members would be added to the clan. Everyone has a significant other now. I mean, Jacob if he and Nessie end up together, and then a kid from them (and then that kid's significant other and kids on down the line)....but as far as just straight other members go, I don't think so. I'm sure if someone approached them and wanted to join the coven then they wouldn't say no to them unless they had good reason. On the note of new people maybe joining or the world continuing, I would like to hear more about Garrett/Kate, they reminded me of a couple that would be really funny to hear about because Garrett was probably my favorite character that was introduced in BD.

I would love to see a Jake/Nessie baby. And I don't think that any more Cullen's will be created, because they're all paired up, Alice/Jasper, Emmett/Rosalie, Carlisle/Esme, Edward/Bella.

Ohh and Gamb1t? Everytime I look at your Avatar, the 5 year-old in me (I'm 19) jumps around yelling. Cause Gambit kicks *ss. Just sayin, although Jean Grey could totally take him. Totally have a fan-boy crush on that woman right there. *wanders off to daydream*

you can call me anything you please, lightbulb... it's a self-deprecating handle to begin with so... lol
And don't, by any means, shorten up your posts... I love the (what others have begun to refer to some of my posts as) "novel-length posts", and you are actually quite amusing with your wandering ramblings, lol
Let's see, well we made it to ten pages guys! We have the power!!!
I didn't know there was a boys are confusing thread either, but i don't think it would really go over well to have a girls are confusing thread on here, mainly due to the fact that 98% of the users on this site are women, and we're lucky to have this thread...
Maybe give it a while before we start trying to rise up and overthrow... lol
Oh right, adding members to the cullen clan...
Well as for that, I think that if any other Vampires came along who genuinely wanted to try out the Cullens' lifestyle, I assume the choice would be Carlisle's and he would probably welcome anyone willing to try and be better...
But I don't see them 'turning' any one else, not unless it was absolutely essential, and Carlisle was sure that they would be able to adapt to the vegetarian diet in time...
I don't think Carlisle would find creating monsters to be conscienable (sp?)...
I would definitely love to see the relationship that develops between Jake and Renesmee, and any future offspring they may produce would likely be quite amazing....
One of my pals on here brought up an interesting point earlier (I'm not saying who) that I want to run by you guys...
They said that it seemed like it would have been a more fitting end to the story if the confrontation with the Volturi had gotten violent, and Jacob had died taking out some of their best fighters, a tragic heroic end to a tragic story...
Of course, this would only have been acceptable if Jake hadn't imprinted on Renesmee, because if both of those were the case, I would probably have been devastated, and could never have forgiven SM.. = )

Well, what do you think of that?
the floor is open for discussion!!

Hi, all you guys out there. I thought I was the only guy who loves the books :o
It's good to see that I'm not the only one.

As for the ending of the book Breaking Dawn I'm glad that it didn't come to a violent fight that would have killed Jacob.
I kinda started liking the character, once he stopped being a pain the butt on Edward.

I think Garret and Kate would be really interesting to hear a story from (maybe if Stephanie is looking for another project to revisit after she's through with Midnight Sun and her other projects?). And since Garret joined Tanya's clan with Kate (right? I still wanna go back a reread the series but haven't had time), there would be an opportunity to write whole book from there point of view. I'm sure it'd be shorter, but I'm sure it would have enough going on. .... But Midnight Sun first. I really hope she decides to finish it before she does other projects. I was so sad to hear how upset she was upon the leakage of her first chapters. :( I can understand how that would effect her writing, so I just hope she reads forums like these and realizes how big an effect on people's lives these books can have.

Oooh. There could be a topic. Has reading the books had a big effect on anything in your life? I know it did for me personally. I had recently separated from my girlfriend at the time the movie came out, and since she had told me a lot about Twilight, it was very soothing and comforting to read the books. I was surprised that the love story didn't hurt more than it helped (kind of like what Bella was worrying about in New Moon). I think the biggest thing that helped was being able to relate so closely to the characters and have it work out so spectacularly for them. It gave me a chance to escape the crap going on in my life and become a part of theirs. So thank you so much, Stephanie Meyer, for giving us this gift that you were almost too chicken to go through with. :D

A Nessie/Jacob baby. Now THAT would be epic. Nessie is already a vampire/human hybrid, so their baby would be a vampire/human/"shapeshifter" hybrid. Would she get the gift of the wolfy powers from Jacob? He was the alpha wolf and a natural at wolfing, so it could happen, but at the same time, would the DNA from the vampire and the werewolf (shapeshifter sounds so stuffy, even if it is technically correct) get along inside a baby? If they did, then that baby would be the first of it's kind (for real this time), and he or she would NOT be one to screw with. This could be a side story that could be in the Tanya's Clan POV book/project dealy doo if Stephanie decides she can't live without the characters sometime in the future.

Ok.. I shouldn't have written this yet, because I just woke up... literally minutes ago, so I'm sitting here in my bath robe and can barely focus on the screen, much less what I just wrote. I'll check back later when I've had some "breakfast". It's 2:30 in the afternoon, so it's not really morning, but it's still my first meal of the day. I'm thinking ramen noodles...

Ok, subjects aside first- got back from Hastings, super pumped. Two Sinatra CDs, a Bach and a Mozart CD, an anthology of poems, Crime and Punishment (curse school!), and some other books. Hehehe, wonderous!

Okay, where first.... Gamb1t's avatar- Agreed, nostalgia is astonishing. Gambit is amazing, and supposedly making an appearance in the next X-men. I can't wait, I've always thought Gambit was the best X-men.

Trackers- I agree that they provide a juxtaposition to the civility of the Cullens, or even one against the capacity of vampires as a whole. As the vampires the Cullen coven and Peter and Charlotte have shown vampires are capable of limiting a hunting range outside of a sphere of influence for any given reason (fear of the Cullen's reaction, respect of their area/ to their wishes, interest in the vegetarian lifestyle). To me, the trackers are just hate-able, even with the feeling of yin-yang and balance.

Garret- Adored the character, adored the speech, and would love to see a side story or continuation of the universe's written canon based on him and the Denali Clan. I would also enjoy a short story about the past of Garret, just as a visionary and revolutionary man as himself. Maybe a pamphlet or excerpt written by him as part of a full history and added canon of the universe. (Encyclopedia Twilight, a written Lexicon, something). E.g. In Response to Common Sense, by Garret _____. His feelings, his opinions, the freedom of man and people.

A tragic ending- I was kind of expecting one. I would have accepted one after many long moments of heartbreak. Though I couldn't see Jacob going down the hero's death, at least not as much as all of the vampires giving him and Renesmee a chance to live the life Bella planned. Jacob and Renesmee are the future, Renesmee gained everyone's love, and her true family would easily fight for her, even the tenacious Rosalie... especially Rosalie, Bella, and Edward, actually. I could imagine, Alec's mist breaking Bella's external shield, she throws herself at him, distracting or killing him. A freed Edward goes after Demetri, and the Vampires go at it Mortal Kombat style, whilst Jacob and Nessie dart into the woods, Nessie seeing her mom get bit while she waves goodbye forever. The Clearwaters fall out with Jacob, protecting his flanks up to the airport, where the remaining guards wait in ambush, they fall and Jacob is the last of the Shapeshifters.

Clarification on the Carlisle haters- I haven't noticed many here, I haven't noticed many anywhere. I've meet a few that heavily dislike him, and think him inferior to Edward even more. Maybe they are an anomaly. However I could never see it being a viable route, ever seeing anyone mad at Carlisle, or disliking him.

Jacob, Renesmee, and the Cullen family- Barring the Hand of God, or an astronomical event calling for transformation I don't see the coven itself growing. The Cullens are a full group now, all paired, all happy, and not trying to overthrow the Vulturi (though they would be the most benevolent ruling class, and just cool). However, I do see Edward's family growing- Nessie and Jacob. I, again, would love to see a novel about the continuation of the Twilight canon and universe, especially continuing Jacob and Nessie's growth as a couple, and the possibility of a child. 1/2 Alpha wolf/human, 1/4 vampire, 1/4 pure human, the offspring of the two (both of which have 24 chromosomes) would be interesting. Healing factor, natural armor, venom-less with razor sharp teeth in both forms (maybe a neurotoxic wolf bite version, or necrotizing, something to make it even more unique), the capacity to shape shift, accelerated aging, followed by immortality or decreased aging. All things to consider. And how will Jacob fair? Will he continue shifting to hunt, also prolonging his youthful soul and halting his aging indefinitely? Do the vampire hybrids, or vampires for that matter, never age or do they age so slowly its unnoticeable (eons pass with nearly no effect, but they won't exist indefinitely). What of Carlisle's faith, will there be a predestined end, no end, will a racy subject like religious apocalypse deface or strengthen the book, should it even be considered? How will Nessie live on without Jacob? What of birthdays, how spoiled could Nessie get with a super wealthy pair of proud grandparents, and a normal group of proud mortal parents? Too many questions...

Effect of the book on my life- Its been odd. Heartbreaking and healing at the same time. I'm trying to get over a break up too, or have been since before starting Twilight, and I don't know if its netted me anything, but an identification to characters and a great story.

No your not the only one! I think most of us thought that...

I agree with you on the ending not killing jacob, but heck i would have liked to see at least a 1v1, kinda like a champion fight, the team whos champion wins takes all! Jasper vs. Demetri, no... wait... Emmet vs. THEM ALL BUAHAHA

My girlfriend is one big fan too.

She told me about the movie and the book. And the rest is history.

It's bad enough that my girlfriend will dump me for a vampire, it got worse when I asked her, if she were Bella, who would I be, Edward or Jacob?

She replied... Charlie.

:x

Hey jasmine... Not that we are haters or anything but we can't have any ladies present. Seriously. Pretend this is the boys bathroom... no that's not good enough. Pretend it's the boys locker room, and if another girl comes in, half of us will run away screaming in tighty-whities while the other half pops you with their towels.

I'm running late, so I'll comment on the other business later. And just to be clear, by pop you with a towel, I mean squeal on you to the moderators. I don't mean to be a sour puss, but this is our forum, and if we let it go once, we might as well open the doors. Sorry.
