^^ Yes, it gets better. Once you get to the dragons, then its fine. I never really noticed the writing style, though, but I've heard other people say its bad. Is it really???

I LOVE THE WESTING GAME! I own it too... A shiny copy. :D

Reading more Douglas Preston books, and Warriors Don't Cry for school. One of the Civil Right movement books.

Has anyone else read it, and if so, what did you think.... did it get better?
I had that probem with Eragon, too. I never could finish it. It was a gift though, and I plan on trying again, soon, since there was a better review above me. :D

I don't own The Westing Game, but I own the knock-off movie, "Get a Clue."

I LOVE Uglies. But I happen to have two copies of Specials and none of Pretties. So my Uglies trilogy reading is at a standstill.

Come to think of it, I did read it in 7th grade; I've reread it since then though, and still liked it. It's sad when you've been searching for the sequel to a book for almost 4 years.

Has anyone PM'd a mod yet? We're on page 100.

YES! Read Uglies!!! I love those books, I find them to be among the best fururistic sci fi I've ever read. I liked it better than I Robot (there's no hot guys in there though, a crying shame. I'll settle for Will Smith in the movie). Its thought provoking and very deep. Questions a lot of preconceptions.

And NONE of the mods are on, otherwise we'd have a new Mafia thread by now. So PM one anyways...

Actually, I think BHG is on, but hidden. You can PM her for mafia.

I'm looking for a copy of the Hunchback of Notre Dame, but my library doesn't have it. :( Is the book any good?
