Well it didn't seem like anyone was going to eat, so I asked Kingsley if he wanted to accompany me outside.

"Kingsley!"

Maybe it's code for something... Anyway, I went to the backyard, Kingsley in tow. I found some dried branches and snapped them into smaller pieces. "Care for some target practice, little firestarter?"

Kingsley sank into a crouch, tail wagging furiously. I tossed branches over the pool, and he spat fireballs at them, nailing each one every time. "Good boy!" I praised. I took time to rub his head, and he sat there, basking in the moment.
