It was fun watching stonehenge blow up...
Do they speak out loud at all? Or just with the runes?

Kylan:*looks at the serpents curiously*
They're weird lwooking...

"They don't make any noise at all, aside from the water sloshing. The runes are silent. It's like they're flashing a sentence at you, one letter at a time."

I brought the twins closer to Lily, who was being held by Rosa. "This is Rosa, and her daughter, Lily. Be nice and say 'hi'."

Two runes flashed on each of their heads as they looked at the little girl. "That means 'hi,'" I explained to Lily.

"Hmm. That reminds me. We need to name you two."

*laughs* Shame, Masters Weird!
Wait, what? Crap. I've lost my touch at writing runes. Where'd that one book go...?
I suggest something Gaelic, Gio. You know, to match their heritage. Lets see if I can think of a name that's not Welsh.

Blowing up Stonehenge- not cool. Good thing I fixed it before I came over here. The Muggles never noticed anything.

*Lily giggles in pleasure and pets their scales*

*Rosa smiles at her daughter's happiness and continues examining the ruins*
It's an interesting form of communication that they have.

Good Lidia, I would have missed Stonehenge...

"That would be great, Lidia. Especially if it relates to water." The twins flashed. "Oh, and apparently one is male, the other female. How do you even..?" More flashing. "Oh. Uh, don't show that when the kids are around, okay?"

I thought of something. "What do you call each other?" The male flashed something long with repeated runes. "Um, Lidia? I think we need to get those names, and soon. This one just told me he's called 'Mmmgrgrlllgrlll.'"

I opened the book back to the section on water weirds. "Let's see what they have in here about your ecology. I need to know if I can get by with an aquarium, or if you need an inflatable pool."

The female snaked out to put its head under Kylan's hand. From experience, it's just like touching water. I wondered how Kylan would react to that.

Mmmgr.... it sounds like a stream, burbling. I expect their names are based on experience.
How about, for the male, Sruthán (yes, I like my names complicated.) and the girl Uisce.
They'd be pronounced Sir-u-th-an and Oo-i-see.
Coruse, someone can come up with less confusing names or I can find simpler ones... Hmm... (that was just my first run through the dictionary, let me keep trying)

Gaelic is a beautiful language. Welsh, however is the language of wizards and the Old Powers, and I much prefer to speak that.

Goodness, you've been cooped up there for threads! It's time I gave you a run.

*goes outside with Bert to get him some exercise*
