WHat????

Hillary Swank??? What's the deal with her??? Is there a movie on the horizon??? Then who will play my Ian??? (ooohhh getting exited)

Nope, I saw Mel as a butterscotch tanned light blond, lean and with strong legs.

YAY for the Host!!!
Nope, I never saw her as black. Somewhat blondish and lean, that's my opinion. Not that it matters, the most important will be how the person carries the character. There's so much more to Wanderer than there is to Bella for example, we wouldn't want another KStew... I wonder who'll play uncle Jeb, for some reason I picture Robin Williams...

I got the whole of the living room, kitchen and hallway cleaned yesterday

I've only read the beginning of Host, but I've got the image of a late 20's character. Wouldn't want some 19yo come along and make it shallow. I haven't formed an actual image of the character. I'm thinking if it could be black, I'd love to see Rose Rollins' take on it. Now you'll all just throw rocks at me for not reading it and throwing this out there. lol. 8-) Of course it would be cool to have an Oscar winner actress like Hillary Swank on the movie. :D

Oh, I'd love it if Ninna could send me some of that cleaning buzz. I'm so tired and need to clean... I hate to clean with kids running around making a mess at the other end while I fix the other one... I'm partially leaning on pushing it 'till weekend. Maybe I could take the kids to grannycare for few hours then...

And a happy Thursday to you my dearies....

Obs is back and she is wondering----Does anyone else think that maybe movie trailers give away too much of a film? For instance, Ray, who has not read New Moon, said "So that one dude tries to nip her, the other pale dude leaves her, she gets cozy with an Indian, there's some conflict, Edward wants to die, there's something called a Volturi, and she tries to save him. Right?"

I don't think it's cool that so much was given away. Yeah, a want to squeal for the fangirl part of me that needs to see Jake and Edward shirtless, but to know the whole freaking story like that----and it's not just New Moon. Look at a lot of trailers out now----the whole movie is right there. Just sayin.

Becs brought up something freaking interesting. I was checking email this morning before heading into work, and Becs is my go-to on fanfic and smut and smut fanfic. She pointed out that while people change the characters looks all the time (i.e. Tatward) no one has ever made a fat Bella. I want a fat Bells or Belly and a Fatward. Becs had some choice description for sweet nothings Eddie would whisper to Belly regarding how her fat "mesmerizes or jiggles" while doing it. LMAO. Like I told her---there's a fic there with our names written all over that. I think if Fox can do "More to Love" shows with chunky chicks like myself, then we should do a fatward and Belly.

About fanfic: Ok, I read The Fan and Illegal Contact. Both were ok, if you like sports. Nothing earth shattering IMO. I'm reading Holding Out For You Now, and I pretty much feel the same way. If you are going to rate it M, make it matter. Something a little different and funny is How My Life was Ruined in 14 Days. Bells wants to give up her woman flower before graduation, and guess who she wants to give it to? Also, try out Mens Rea: A Guilty Mind for killerward and what's owning me right now besides the usual is Irritable Grizzly Adams and Daedalus in Exile is freaking awesome. For all those Submissive/Dominant fans, same author just put up the first chappie of The Training, so you know that is going to be hawt. Just sayin.

About movies: Going to see something tomorrow. Shanna wants to see Whiteout or Pandorum, and I want to see neither really. Yes, I have a girl crush on Kate Beckinsale, but not enough to see the movie. Knowing her, we will end up seeing Love Happens. I'm trying to talk her into seeing 9, just because besides Surrogates (which I will see with hubs) it's the only thing there I want to see.

I made a kick butt veggie lasagna peeps. And I don't profess myself to be an awesome cook or anything: I'm a southern woman, so anything I cook well is usually not remotely good for you and drowned in gravy or butter. But I did make an awesome veggie lasagna and even the hubs, who doesn't mince words when it comes to food, loved it. I would totally be able to make a go of being a vegetarian if it weren't for darn great seafood.

I'm hungry now. I want chocolate and a pickle, in either order. I'm off and wish you all a great freaking Thursday.

Obs:)

Obs, I totally agree with you re: fat fan fic. Come on people. Guys like us chunky girls as well, and we need love too. lol I can't write, but someone should definitely write that.

I want to see the invention of lying with ricky gervais in it. It comes out next friday, I think darcy and I are going to go see it before he goes home. He leaves next saturday. :( Kind of hard to believe. The day he leaves I get to go buy a new laptop, so not everything is bad about him leaving I guess.

I am so totally feeling blah today. 0 energy levels.

Hola peeps!

My intertubes were busted last week (booooo) but the repair man has been and gone this morning (new modem, fingers crossed that's all we need) so I'm back *wonders why the room clears as she watches everyone run away in horror* hello *tap tap* is this thing on??
So anyway, hope I caught all the comments I need to reply to, sorry if I didn't, it just got lost in the pages of catching up!

Holly, sending an energy filled hug your way. Am all about loving the girls with more cushion for the pushin lol

Can't we figure out a rotation schedule of some sort? LOL

FINALLY doing the survey:
Name: Becca
Year you graced us by being born: 1981
Locale: Glasgow (Scotia!)
Slave to da man? Mais oui, except da man is my dad so I get the added layer of family relationships with my work, works both for good and bad! Also, makes my criticisms more politely phrased than I might do otherwise LOL but I'm notorious for calling him out on minor details, keep him on his toes! (In case that makes no sense, I'm a proofreader and copy editor, I find your mistakes and make you fix them, but not on here, cuz you guys don't pay me to do it haha)
Spawn? Nine, as in the German NO lol
Doing anyone? *looks down* well, not at this moment.... hahaha I crack me up. Yes, James, coming up on 10 years now! It might be serious... ;)
Tats/Piercings: Dreaming of the ink but don't have any yet. Piercings: 5 ears (might get more soon), and nose.
Attracted to: chemistry trumps a list as far as I'm concerned, but I'm def drawn to dark eyes and hair... SHORT hair. Love a good smelling guy, shoulders, etc. But not picky.
Am drawn to friends who have some sarcastic edge to them, which I haven't found here in the Lexily, oh no, not at aaaaallllll.
Turn offs: I like confidence but can't stand machismo - in general, not just romance. Also don't like people making decisions for me (of course, exceptions apply to every rule).
TV Watching: *checks her recording list* Weeds, Peep Show, True Blood, House, Jamie Oliver's American Road Trip, Dr Who/Torchwood, The Mentalist, Big Bang Theory, Caliiforniacation, bunch of documentaries and cooking shows, bunch of satirical comedy (Mock the Week), bunch of anime (Japanese animation) series, and some others. All time faves are also Black Books and Spaced.
Reading: Just read the Rachel Vincent Shifters series, and Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series, picked them up at the airports with all the travelling, also just read a bunch of Christopher Moore books. Have piles and piles of "real" literature waiting to be read too! I buy too many books, it is a curse from my genes and from studying literature at uni, you end up with piles of books all over the house!
Favorite movie of all time: this is an impossible question, can't be answered. Will say that from the last few years Infernal Affairs, Stranger than Fiction, Iron Man, Sunshine, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 2 Days in Paris, and then have piles of faves from every genre. Will stop now... lol

PaulinhaBrasil wrote:@ Becca – I’m expecting some serious notes on the book okay! Can’t wait for it to arrive! Love the homail. My keyboard has his moments also. It is wireless and sometimes just for the pleasure to piss me off he eats the letters randomly. So, I never know what to expect and have to proofread the every single thing I type.
Don't worry, I'm cracking up with the comments, will be equally verbose as the others! Do you want anything from my side of the world? Also, glad I'm not the only one having to reread everything!

why get them? well, i think in most cases if you can't answer that question, then it should never ever ever be considered. Just like tattoos or ear piercings, if it doesn't mean something important to you, then it's not something that should be done. There is reports of it enhancing sexual experiences, but IMO, if your doing everything right, it shouldn't be able to be enhanced any further anyway . . . .
Oh my goodness, this cracked me up Pharmer! Valid comments about why to get them me thinks! Thanks for the chuckle.

And OH YEAH!!! Super excited!!! PARAMORE ARE COMING TO TOWN!!! December baby! Am going to go with my neighbour L, her mates, probably J, and anyone else who wants to come along! Getting tix as soon as I know who's coming!
I recon the final sentence of what your quoted me as saying is the most relevant of all!

Also, Paramore, f'ing A. I'm gonna try and organise babysitters etc when they come to Australia. Paramore and Metallica are the onlys ones at the moment that I'll take this trouble for, until the kids are old enough to be left alone by themselves.
Pharmer, it was deffo that last sentence that cracked me up.
I was so disappointed that Metallica came through while I was away for work this summer, which is why it's even more kicka$$ that I've already checked my travel schedule and will be able to go to Paramore! Woot!

OK, so I think McMegs or Obes were talking about nose piercing and if it feels like boogers? I guess it's noticeable for a little bit, but it disappears right away, same like when you put on a ring on a finger for the first time and it itches for a few days then it's normal to have jewellery there (or jewelry if you're american). Except seeing as it's a hole in your bod it takes the healing time too. I started out with the bone piercing which is just straight and has an enlarged end to keep it from coming out, but as soon as it was healed I switched to a corkscrew cuz that just seemed to fit better. Except I found the metal ones are too big, so I use bioplast, which I recommend to anyone! It has give so it bends around your flesh instead of your flesh bending around it, so it aids healing (I used it when a piercing in my ear went insane a few months ago, helped it heal right up without losing the hole).

Ummmmm *thinks* oh yeah, Terri mentioned my recommending some fics to her the other day, so I'll pass them on:
Toye, 7 chapters long, complete, http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5343457/1/ description says: Vampires like to play with their food. A campy and kitschy horror short-story that lets the men of the Cullen household be the monsters that Edward always claimed they were. Extremely OOC. Let me just say, she had me on tenterhooks with this one! Love a dark story.
Also loved the same author's all human one The Best Man http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5122163/1/The_Best_Man
And if you like AH with decent writing and stories I love both stories by http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1666742/sandyk199 her newest one has Bella as a cupcake baker and DAYUM, I want to have a bakery like that near me! If nothing else check out her profile for the cupcake recipe, sounds sooooooo good.

OK, think I've caught up with everyone I was supposed to holler back at (don't you love my language skills some days) if I didn't I'm sorry, yell at me and then reask your question (and pray my internet stays working!)

PS I remembered one more thing, Megs and I had a truly horrific conversation the other day. It started out well and covered some great topics as always (love ya even if you make my phone batteries die! LOL) but somehow we got onto the topic of Dugger sex *shudders*. Which is probably what made me think about fat Bella when I was emailing Terri. Don't ask why my mind takes me to these places, I couldn't tell ya either. Anyway, my brain is scared and scarred with the thought of floral and denim clad lovemaking. Add in the hair to complete the picture.... there I infected your brains thus making Megs and my pain more bearable ;)

PS 2 in honour of missing being online during Pirate day I leave you with this "Did you see that new pirate movie at the cinema? It's rate ARRRRRRRRRR" OK, I'll leave you all alone now, let you get over the shock of my over posting! MWAH <3

Becs, what the heck is bicarb soda dude? I was looking up the cupcake chick and those freaking oreo cupcakes are calling me. Stupid cupcakes:) It combines my two loves---cupcakes and smut fiction. Nice. Smutficcake.

2 Days in Paris sounds like the Paris Hilton porno. Just sayin.

And I'm picturing your nose with a wine bottle top cork in it lol. I'm cracking it up just thinking about it. And who knew jewelry was spelled some freaky deaky way in other places?

Ewww. Duggar sex. That's enough to make even me stop eating...for an hour. I still say they have their own version of "dirty talk" like

OHHHH Jim BOB yes! Quote Revelations to me again!

And the adjective for tight shall never be used on that chick. Just sayin.

And when you say intertubes were busted, I thought you went swimming or something. Big round doughnut looking intertubes. Busted. So sad. I'm fat, so it's happened lol. Who knew computers had those?

Oh, and I'm a dork and forgot to put that the dudes who turn me on most----all chefs. Food and a man, dang, what's better? I'd totally do Bobby Flay, Jamie "I can't understand the lisp sometimes but I'd do you anyways" Oliver, Gordon "call me a donkey while you make me an omelet in the morning" Ramsey, that dude from Ace of Cakes, heck, even mario batali. Rawr!

And seriously, Becs knows good fanfic, so anything she recs I'm on. I'm all salivating over cupcake goodness, so I suggest you do the same. It's a change from all the weird cookies I've been making. I'm about to make a "I will cut you for the epilogue" lemon drop or something. So cupcakes are good. I just got to figure out the bicarb soda. Like club soda ya think? Hmmm.

Anyways, I'm out. I'm going to go tell Ruth that I'm letting Elton John adopt my baby----she's going to LOVE that.

Obs.
