Openhome wrote:I LOVE this story. Honestly, it is the best thing written that I've read, published or not, this year. Here are my thoughts:
Yes, it's Bella. Otherwise why would he care. She is either a vampire or a human.
Or... creepier...
What if vampire venom could heal dead humans? What if it changed when it was irradiated, and what was in the cage were humans being re-born?
Her ability to write cliff-hangers is jut killing me. I read it until chapter 6 and can't wait to have some time to myself to read more.
I truly TRULY hope she writes her own fiction, because she has the potential to be the best of the best.
The last few chapters do contain a lot of hope. Edward is beginning to see the light, and Alice is beginning to heal. If she can pull this off, it will be one of the most anticipated endings ever.

Kay & Openhome ~ You just made my heart sing with hope. I will go with that. I remember Maria wants to build an army I think more powerful than before.
Oh, and it's my understanding that what she has so far is Part 1 of this story. Someone made to confirm, but I think I read that right over on Facebook.

BTW THE OFFICE CHAPTER 18 IS UP!!

Folks, get your hankies out, it's a tear jerker. But I will have faith.

Could you or Kay possibly give me the Facebook link? I have seen something on Facebook about it. Is it common for authors to make facebook sites? Are there any other good ones? Thanks.

Christy~ Holy Bejeezus!! Oh my gods, did my heart just fail there. And, damn Rachael to the pits of hell for picking now of all times to make her dramatic reappearance in his life. Bella, always call first, even if it's a 30 second heads up. I have faith. I do. But, I have no patience...

Here is the link for The Fallout Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=1 ... &ref=share

Usually if the story has a Facebook page the author has a link on their bio page. Some of the Facebook pages that I have seen and visited are WA, The Ex Factor and Emancipation Proclamation, plus others I am sure

***************SPOILERS**************************

Okay, we have to take deep, cleansing breaths. It was pointed out over at Twilighted that BB was kissing the woman's left hand - engagement finger. I read fingers, but at any case, they feel that Rachel was showing Edward something like maybe she has moved on and become engaged. idk. It is certainly easier to swallow that the scene itself.

All of those beautiful texts from BB are not for nothing. I am going to believe that things with that BB/blonde girl(Rachel) are not what they appear. I cannot believe that he would tell his Bella of his devotion and love for her and then screw her over big time. But I can certainly understand Bella's shock, heart shatter and now possible leaving of Cullen, Inc.
I hope what Carlisle says to her will help. He needs to see to her emotional situation, too.

Oh and remember when Bella walked back into the elevator and as she rubbed her eyes, her glasses fell to the floor - she did not pick them up. Now,imagine if you will, BB and possibly "french poodle" enter the elevator and he sees Bella's glasses.
*insert dramatic theme music*. Yeah, le poop will hit the fan.

Now she is leaving and Carlisle is talking to her. Major cliff hanger of epic proportions.

Oh, and has anyone thought that the new executive that Bella was going to work for could be that nasty, snake - Mr. Darby? :o
*inserts dramatic theme music - again*
Can you imagine tons and tons of poop hitting the fan with that?!
I am holding on to Christine's a/n from the end of last chapter - HEA.
She asked us to trust her.

*******************************************************

Kay and openhome ~ I learned there is a new club for The Fallout - BSK. I am holding on to that.

Sorry that I have been MIA for almost 2 weeks. I am going to go catch up on everything I have been missing, but I just wanted to let all the WA fans know that someone on FFn tried to plagiarize AG.

twilight.lvr.28 tried to pass off Wide Awake as their own and call it "Wide Awake at Night" the summary is: Edward and Bella have dark pasts that leave them severely emotionally scared, with nightmares that force them to stay awake. They meet duringe one of Emmets crazy parties.AH, Highly OOC Rated M.ExB

AG tweeted about this and that is how I came across it. I read the first few opening words (not even the entire first sentence) and could tell it was definitely the same story. I reviewed it, but only to give the author a MAJOR flame for trying to do this.

Here is what I said:
DarkHighNoon wrote:This is bullsh1te. Everyone knows that this story is NOT yours. This story was written by angstgoddess003 and after having a chapter of it deleted from here went to livejournal and has been posting there ever since and we are now awaiting the epilogue of. Just because you changed the title from "Wide Awake" to "Wide Awake at Night" DOES NOT mean that you wrote this story by any means. And, just a tip, that if you ARE going to plagiarize someone else in fanfiction, make sure its a story that not EVERYONE IN TWILIGHT FANFICTION HAS READ! To prove even further that this is the EXACT same story, AG (short for angstgoddess003) has even went on twitter and said that this is the SAME STORY. This may be 'just fanfiction' to you, but AG spent a lot of time on her story and you copying it, putting YOUR name on it, and TRYING (but not succeeding) to to pass it off as your own is just sad. If you aer going to write fanfiction, then write your own stuff. It can be the worst story ever, but guess what? THAT is better than plagiarizing someone else's work! Believe me that I WILL be reporting this to administrators.

I have read other reviews after leaving mine (including the one AG wrote) and they are mostly very angry, but some of them are very sarcastic about it. If anyone else wants to give this ''author'' a piece of their mind, here is the link.

I just sent my review to the thief. I said "ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME?! Who do you think you are stealing Wide Awake by angstgoddess003?
Did you not think that no one would notice this plagarized version from the original version? That we would not recognize one of the most beloved stories out there?
I told them I was reporting them.

I click on that Story Fraud button(whatever it's called, at the bottom) and alerted the admins about that. What is it with people?
Thanks for the heads up, Ashley.

As a fanfiction and Twilighted author, I just want to THANK YOU BOTH!!
As I said in my post, it is a MAJOR issue out there. The newer sites are getting hit especially hard with old author's work being plagiarized. The only way to stop it is for fans like you to catch them -- no small task given that there are over 100,000 fanfictions out there.
So, from all of us authors, THANK YOU! :D

I started reading The Fallout and to be honest I don't know if I can keep going. It is an excellent storyline, and the imagery is unbelievable! But, my heart hurts with each chapter. I got to chapter 3 and I just had to walk away.
Unless she pulls a rabbit out of her hat, I see this as a pure tragedy. I can not handle tragic endings.
I know that all of this does not necessarily mean that it will be, but I'm just having a hard time with it. What kills me is that it is so expertly written and her premise is fantastic as well as tragic and I DO NOT want to walk away. I WANT to be able to read this story and enjoying her writing and deal with whatever cards the author plays. I know, I know, it is fictional, but it's still hard.
I am glad you reccomend it, because even if I can't read it now, I am determined to read this story. It is breathtaking.

The Fallout Discussion

Christy -

You are so correct this story is absoutely fracking heartwrenching. I sure hope that you go back to it tho, the story is incredible. The part where Alice sees the vision of when the bombs are going to be dropped and she withdraws and becomes incoherent was tough. Also in the latter chapters when after the bombs drop and Jasper feels all of human emotions and becomes an emotional cripple and stops eating for weeks on end was very hard to take in. The very tough parts of the storyline are the parts in 2006 after the bombs are dropped. The portion of the story ten years later in 2016 are much more optimistic. But of course Edward carry's guilt around about Bella to an incredible extreme.

Here is a thought for you....... At the beginning of the story, the prologue, when Jasper is with Maria. What do you think is in the cage down in the chamber, when Maria will not allow Jasper to get close? I read a very interesting review that someone wrote as to what they think is in the cage. I will not repeat it here, but I found it extremely interesting.

Anyone else reading The Fallout? Any comments/thoughts?
The Fallout Discussion

Kay, I want to thank you for your recommendation of The Fallout. It sounds just incredible and heartwrenching, all at the same time and the premise is like no other Twilight fanfiction I've ever read. I read the first chapter or two and like Christy, had to stop reading for a bit. I love a good AU story, but I'm such a complete wuss that I've got to have canon pairings. And I guess even the possibility of Edward not being with Bella just breaks my heart, not to mention the tragedies that befall everyone else. I think I can muddle my way through the story if there is some tiny sliver of hope that maybe...just maybe....Bella might somehow still be alive? :(

Anyway, thank you for your recommendations and your reassurances as well. I think I'm going to sit down with the story Wednesday night or Thursday morning when I have several consecutive hours to completely devote to it. I'm pretty sure that once I get past the first couple of chapters, I won't be able to stop. ;)

Runs off to read Chapter 18 of The Office

My God- The Office. Seems like a comedy of errors at the moment, no?

And thank you for catching that plaigiarist! Hopefully ff.net does something about that, and soon.
