I totally love Ellen too!!! She is so funny!! And I loved Portia when she was on Ally McBeal. I thought she was soooo pretty. I only just found out like a year ago she was a lesbian and was like, "Really!?!!" My gay-dar sucks by the way..A few years back, I was totally oblivious to Elton John being gay. I said, "I thought it just liked wearing really colorful, and flamboyant looking attire.." So yeahs, Ellen is totally awesome. I miss the Ellen Show..not the talk show but the sitcom she did.

I wouldn't mind them being my e-mums.

GenevieveCullen wrote:Erika~ hot damn! With this many CCPs, I can fly in Laura, Trine AND Jade in for RobCon. Japanese and Mexican food in one day is win. Absolutely love both.

As for tipping, I totally get where your coming from. I think in most places, 15% is standard tipping and Rob threw down a 50 for a $350 meal instead of $52.50. I'm sure the missing 1% was a lack of math rather than a insult to the wait staff. I don't really see our man pulling out a calculator and checking to see if it's the proper amount. The media just wants to create a frenzy.
Wait a if you run a bill up of $350 I waited tables a lot of foreigner think that the tip is already added, and also if he was with a party of 5 or more normally they will add the tip and anything over that is extra. So I did find that to be frustrating but when you go to other countries I suppose that normal and Rob thought he was giving an extra $50 which I think would have been reasonable in his case, unless his server completely sucked. So I really think it was something like that and not a stiff, if Rob would have been American then I would say Cheap :) But I do believe that he felt the tip was already added since its such a common practice.

Caryn~Thanks for the link and such for The Ex-Factor. I shall have to start reading it. And don't worry about the new banner thing. (Yes, its a ForJazz original. :D I have a bit o' banner talent, but I just don't have the patient to mess with GIMP :geek: .) I changed it and then went to do some reading. So, in other words...I changed it after my last post, and some other people had posted.

And since Caryn has already mentioned it.... I have my new banner via Julie! :D \/ please look below \/

Jen~ If I have permission from Erika I want to give you 3 bajilion CCP for that comment about crumpled bills on the table. I can sooo totally see him doing that!!!! :D

New Moon site~I went and saw everything. Am I the only one that noticed Quil isn't at La Push!? *gasp* Does....does that mean that Quil won't be in the movie!? Nooooooooo! Quil has to be there with Embry when Bella is in Jake's garage! And he's the one who Bella picks up on the side of the road too! CW has some 'spainin to do! And while I think Jacksper's pic is ummm well odd I don't think its exactly scary. But, when I went to that page and Lizme (Elizabeth and Esme put together. :ugeek: ) was the one in the middle of the screen...I just wasn't expecting her to look like that. Now she freaked me out just a bit. Its her eyes. They didn't look all nice and motherly. Edward looked all heartbreaking and awwww. Carter (Carlisle and Peter)...well I didn't have a big issue with his hair there like I did in that vid or pic or whatever it was where everyone was flipping out over it. Belsten looked awesome, but you could see the little packet that holds the blood in it on the inside of her arm. Ali (yeah, shortened version of Alice works for Ashley and Alice) looked like pure win in my opinion for it. And I already explained Jacksper. Now, Kelmett...he freaked me out a bit too. Its the eyes, like I said before with Lizme. But the contacts are what think make the difference from looking scary/freak you out type of a thing to well, not looking that way. Oh! I almost forgot Niklie! My bad. Anyway...she looked like Rosalie should look. Perfect and not caring too much about the human.

OMG! ROB IS CATHOLIC?! I thought he was before when I saw a pic of him at the 5th HP premiere because of the necklace he was wearing, but I wasn't sure. While I myself am not Catholic, my cousin is.

And, erm....what have I forgotten this time? Hmmm...

Oh! Right! The tip. Dudes, chill out about it, please? *pouts* This e-daughter does not want an e-fight in our e-house or e-neighborhood. If he meant to give a 15% tip he was off by a whole fracking 2.50. Plus, I know someone who visited a small town not too far from London and she said that they don't tip as much as Americans do or something like that. And...this Italian family resturant that I went to while in PA automatically adds the tip in the bill so the Brits might do that too. Just sayin.

So I missed so much so I have like a kajillion things to comment on:

On Seaweed/snorkeling: To be brutally honest about snorkeling: I have a horrible gag reflex and well, *shrugs* I kind of want to know where something has been before I put it in my mouth (or at least know my snorkeling partner for awhile)... I think it has to do with working at a hospital, because in all honesty I have heard some horror stories that kind of make me squeemish... just a benefit of the job
I love the "code words" hahaha

I seriously read through the conversation and I think I laughed more than I have in quite awhile... kudos, kudos.

On trimming the bush: I agree with Julie, I just do. Some trimming is polite but when the guy has waxed chest, arm-pits, ect. its kind of a turn off... It makes him seem less manly and makes me wonder how long he has been primping for.

On Rings Burrito baby: Congratulations!

On the tip: Seriously *rolls eyes* I think they are making this into a way bigger thing than it needs to be... I have waitressed before and also eat out quite frequently... I don't see it as a slight, more as a "Lets just make it an even.." if you get my drift... seriously who does the fraking math anyways? I always tip based on service and not the price of the bill. If you are an awesome waitress you are going to get a rockin tip... if you suck well then your tip most likely is going to be less.

On the map: Thanks once again for posting, sporking love it!

On WA: Seriously, the update was fraking amazing and so angsty yet lemony. I sporking loved it.. and that is all I am going to say so as not to spoil it.

On the Sookie books: I finally got a chance to go out to the store and I bought the first book. I just finished readin it and have to say I thouroughly enjoyed it.. I will definitely be buying more in the series!

On it being hump day: *Does a little dance*

On Julie M leaving: :( We will miss you!

On the Rob Thomas cd: Seriously loving this cd the more I listen to it... the man is a sporking genius!

So yeah... sure I am forgetting something but this seems pretty long anyway!

Neya

Edited because I am an idiot and forgot to talk about all the NM stuff! I am loving that something new is being release or leaked almost daily! Today I logged onto Yahoo and there on the homepage was this huge thing about Taylor in NM... I was kind of like awww

*imagines Rob putting down the $50, then sticks his hand in his pocket and spends the next 5 minutes trying to find the extra $2.50*

Tbh - isn't it just easier to throw them 1 bill, or a few bills rather than wasting time trying to get the correct amount?

Zomg. $2.50. Lets all have a cry about that, shall we?
Bloody greedy waiters.
I don't know of anyone whos tipped when we've gone out to quite fancy restaurants. Maybe we don't do it here...?

e-Sis ~ Your banner is fracking awesome and green

Hello all. :)

Just wanted to let you know that Round 2 of voting starts tonight and will be open until 7/26.

My story did not make it into the short list for Most Original Story, but my character, Giovanni, made it into the short list for Best Original Character!

I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider voting for Giovanni.

The homepage for the website is here. You can click on the "VOTE" link up top and make your votes. :)

Thank you!

And on that note, I'm Roman Catholic. Therefore the burrito baby will require a baptism. Names anyone?

Of course! CCPs exist for anyone who thinks Canada and/or Canadians are cool to give to anyone Canadian (or not) for doing (or saying) anything cool.

Um... were we fighting? I was just saying I thought it was important and IMHO 15% is not enough for a higher end place -- at least not in the US and especially not in NYC. But the crumpled bill/foreigner/press making it a bigger deal is probably true -- and who knows if the story is accurate, even. Under tipping irritates me -- it's ok if people don't feel the same!

On a lighter note!!

Burrito baby names...hmm... may I suggest Bronislawa for a girl or Bogumil for a boy. Why? Umm... cause they both start with a B?

Hi everyone.

Ya'll have kept me laughing my backside off today with all the talk of snorkeling, swimming, seahorse and fish sightings, manscaping, seaweed, maintenance of the bush/shrub, etc....so, thanks for that!

Ashley, love your gorgeous new banner; wonderful work as always, Julie! Wherever did you find that gorgeous pic of Rob in the white shirt...or is it a manip? Either way, he looks lovely.

rings, good luck making it through the 2nd round. I'm headed over to vote for Giovanni after I finish posting here. Are there additional rounds after this one?

I've briefly perused the new New Moon movie site and am in awe of many of the beautiful pictures,
like this one. Rob looks just gorgeous here, photoshopped or not, and I can't imagine a more perfect looking Edward. I guess I could post that on our original thread if I knew where to find it. :D

Julie M., have a great trip and we'll see you in a couple of weeks! We'll keep a seat in Caryn's corner warm for you. :)
