a skort is a skirt with shorts underneath, originally it was a pair of shorts with a flap in the front that made the front look like a skirt and the back like shorts, but that just looked stupid, so they started being more normal and putting little tight shorts underneath attached, but i think they got rid of those and now they have spanx, which are spandex things that are supposed to hold you all together, but they started with cheerleaders wearing them under their skirts so they were pretty much just underwear over your underwear but now they have all different kinds, including shorts
