The Best Stuff in my Town!

Post by Pel »

I was argueing with a friend of mine the other day over who had the best Hot Chocolate in town...and it got me thinking...Since we are kind of all over the place wouldn't it be fun to post where the best stuff is in your town just in case any of us ever visit there...

In Louisville KY...

The Best Hot Chocolate or Dessert of any kind:

Sweet Surrender/and I totally partial to Starbucks Hot Chocolate

You must eat at the Louisville Antique Mall for Lunch

Every one says the Galt house is the best Hotel...but its sooo not! You must stay at the Brown! Its the hotel featured in the movie Elizabethtown.

*by the way* we were argueing over whether Starbucks or McDonalds had the best Hot Chocolate...No contest!!! Starbucks!

SO, if any of you ever come to Austin, Texas...

Be sure to go to a coffeeshop downtown called Halcyon and order Smores.

You won't regret it. They bring you a hershey's bar, several marshmallows and a little metal jar thingy with a live fire in it to melt your marshmallow/chocolate.

FANTASTIC.

if you ever come to utah, be sure to check out...
the frysauce! i figured out that not many people outside of the state actually know what this is. just try it. its way good. :) i make it all the time to put on my hamburgers or to dip fries in.
i don't know if there is much else that is super good to eat around here that is way to unique, but as for landmarks, this is where david archuleta is from, east high in downtown salt lake city is where high school musical was shot, and moab utah is somewhere you should all check out. its a town where people go to camp, horseback ride, and ride down the colorado river. it is so much fun! oh ya, and in moab, there is this little place called the pancake house. check it out. it is the best breakfast place on planet earth!

In my future home of (I want to move out of Ohio) Nashville TN...

Every shop on Broadway
Jack's BBQ
Mike's Ice Cream (cake batter flavor is THE best)
Wild Horse Saloon (good food, good music)
Opry Mills Mall (it's HUGE and there's a Rain forest Cafe inside)
Ryman Auditorium
Country Music Hall of Fame
Music Row
go to the Walgreen on Elm Hill Pike and ask for Lee (long story)

there's A LOT more I can't think of right now

EYEYE PEL! I LIVE IN LEXINGTON, KY! lol small world. ahah

anyways, I think the best thing(i just moved here 3 days ago) would have to be all the nice people. I'm from Florida, and people, esp the teens, weren't nice at all....not to anybody.

Umm, my town has a park that was a training spot for the Americans in the Revolutionary War, it's our claim to fame since it's mentioned in every single textbook in the world, alot of people go on field trips there. I still remember there is a sign that you could see from my classroom with info on the place and the teacher had to cover the window on the test so we couldn't see it.
