Re: Just Ian
Honestly, I thought Ian was annoying. *runs*
Because he seemed desperate just to be with Wanda...

Re: Just Ian
Ugh. Physically, mentally, internally. I love him. I have a serious issue with fictional characters. The fact that he changed his view of Wanda and came to accept her (and love her) just showed me so much about what type of person he is... I haven't read the book in a long time but now I think I will.
Some say love is a choice, some say its a feeling; I say its an ability. You've got to work for it.

I was just thinking that today! I haven't read the book in almost a year. O_o Weird! But I agree. Ian is more of a 2D character because of his ability to forgive and to swallow his arrogance. Makes him more loveable. ^_^MoonCrazed wrote:The fact that he changed his view of Wanda and came to accept her (and love her) just showed me so much about what type of person he is... I think Ian is cute. I mean, he is a bit desperate about being with Wanda, but maybe that's just jealousy he feels about Wanda's body wanting Jared....I don't know, just a thought.

yea, tell me about it! i can honestly say i've never been desperately wanted by anyone. which sucks considering i'm married....i think all men should have to read twilight and the host to see how they are supposed to treat a woman.

i got the host for my birthday and was shocked by how quickly i fell in love with Ian. the way he was protecting Wanda and just his personality got to me. and when i read it again and got to the bit where he tries to strangle her i was horrified by it. I LOVE IAN! and the fact that he is human makes it even better. i mean he cant replace Edward but he is a close second!

Re: Just Ian
Ok so I admit I cheated a little... when I was about 1/3 of the way through the book I glanced at the ending because I had to know if Mel got her body back, so I knew pretty early what was going to happen with Ian. But it really just made me like him more because the whole time during his transformation I knew what was coming and I was like "Awww I want you for myself!" lol
I agree with what everyone else has said, he has all the great qualities of Edward but more realistic. Also the fact that he never confused his feelings for Wanda with Melanie's body (he was the only one who wasn't confused after the change of bodies) totally reminded me of how Edward is so sure of his love for Bella. Oh he's just an amazing guy. *swoon*
