Re: Billy Burke as Charlie Swan
I don't care what anyone says I loved Billy Burke as Charlie. He was not what I pictured in the books but I fell in love with him on the screen. He was one of the best actors in the movie and my heart broke when Bella left him. The only unbelievable thing is that there is no way Renee would leave Charlie when he looks like that.

^ Definitely. I had Charlie pictured differently in my head too..I didn't really see Billy before the movie so I didn't pay attention to him in the trailer and such but after watching the movie, I just fell in love with him.

he was a really good actor, I just didn't like the part when Bella left, because he's supposed to be yelling at her and he's just like totally mellow

Billy was amazing as Charlie! I loved him. He's one of the few who was better than the book's version.

even though Mr. Billy Burke didn't fit some of the physical description, he did a great job with the part!! he was just as protective and awkward as the character was in the book. i think he was amazing -- the casting did a good job choosing him

Re: Billy Burke as Charlie Swan
I pictured Charlie completely different in the book. I'm actually not sure how I feel about Billy as Charlie. I thought he was to uptight and strict. In the book Charlie seemed more loving. Not the type of person who would give his daughter pepper spray when she went out with her boyfriend. He also didn't seem very hurt when Bella left. She said it was really hard to hurt him like that. It didn't look like he was all that hurt. I don't know. Still deciding.

Billy Burke did a great job at the awkwardness that I pictured Charlie having. I don't know what other people think, but I'm excited to see him act in the other movies.

Billy Burke did a wonderful job as Charlie. No he wasn't how I pictured him in my head from the books but he actually brought Charlie to life for me and I was very happy with how he handled the part.
I actually liked his reaction when Bella left, it made me feel sorry for him.

There are very few instances where I feel an actor can portray a character even better than the version I had in my own head from reading the book but Billy Burke managed to do it. He was the PERFECT Charlie. No one could have done it better.

I think there was nothing wrong with the casting for Charlie however I feel that the script for his part was slightly off compared to the book, he just seemed too involved than what he should have been but I dont know, maybe i misread his character.
