I'm thinking more like May. They'd want to get those big sales, and since school is out in May (for most), and factoring in summer break, I'm betting on May.

I think they will wait UNTIL Twilight has opened in all the countries first before releasing the DVD, don't you think?

Well, it generally takes... I want to say it takes abou 9 months to make a movie completely through -- shooting, touching up, editing. Filming SHOULD begin in March... Give them a grace period for the CGI tha's inevitable... Hm... Yeah. I'd say February would be about right. If not, maybe a month or two after.xXBeSafeXx wrote:I really hope it comes out in February though...hoping against hope for the perfect birthday present..
Shawniegore made a good point too, though... But Twilight was brought out on a school night and just a few days before Thanksgiving, and it still made a bunch of money.

I think half of us are talking about Twilight DVD release date, and some of us are talking about New Moon release date. Haha.

Yes. I'm saying April 09 for the DVD, Dec. 09 for New Moon (*crosses fingers and hopes really hard for 09*)

My that article is VERRRRY...as Aro would say it "curious".nafereti wrote:Hey everyone. Okay so here's the link to the article were Summit is "thinking" about replacing Taylor Lautner.

I hope they really don't. I will be so mad, and refuse to see the movies if they do.
Here's a link to a petition that is also online

Please sign it!!
Keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black!!!
Warning: You have to donate money in order to sign the petition. Retarded, I know!!
What's that about executives not wanting to give New Moon a bigger budget? And Cathrine not being able to truly do what she wants? 5 days, entire days were cut from them? That's....plenty of scenes, maybe a few of the ones we were desperately asking for. SMeyer was mad about the sparkle effect as well? Was that also a budget cut?
Yes, very curious indeed.
Also the one who was discussing removing Taylor was the Summit president of production. Unfortunately, it's true that the director does not always get the final say in casting. Or um, even the first say. Or um, any say at all. If the production company wants so and so out so and so will be out or the movie literally will never come out.
Hollywood sucks sometimes.
And it's a bit unsettling how annoyed Cathrine seemed to be with Summit. I mean she said she just let it go but the fact that they aren't "confirming" her as the director for New Moon is also interesting. She wants more, I'm not sure they want to give it to her cause they think the whole twilight franchise is a quick buck.
I'm worried that they have a "We'll gross this much regardless of how good the movies are just cause it's Twilight" mindset. Unfortunately for them that's not going to really work out in the long run...
Granted I am one of those people that is/was on the "Fire Hardwicke right now before she kills another Twilight film, oh and Mellisa to!" but now I'm not so sure. I still think some of her shooting and music decisions were iffy but when it comes down to it she did do many things right. There seems to be more behind this all and I wish I truly know how much was taken away from her. I'm just hoping everything for New Moon works out.
