Thats actually one thing I did like about Stephenie Meyers writing style, she doesn't go all into detail about their physical relations. Not that I am too young to know about it or whatever, but...sometimes, a little goes a long way! I didn't think BD was THAT heavy...but I agree with what someone said, if parents the kids allow the kids to see the movies, thats their deal, not the entertainment buisness. And plus, it's not like, they didn't know! It's being adapted from a book, that they allowed their children to read...so it's their fault! Plus, they could R rate it.

I really think that BD should be an R rated movie. Thats not to say that they need to show the sex and what not, none of that is necessary, most of it you can hint at but not show. I would just hate for the movie to come off some G rated version that doesn't resemble the book. Breaking Dawn is my favorite book of the series and the one that I think would make the best movie

Breaking Dawn will not be rated R, at all. Stephenie is LDS (I am too) and we don't watch R rated movies. One of the requirements for BD should it be a movie would be for it to get no higher than a PG-13 rating, that's how it was for the other ones. If it was rated R a big chunk of the fanbase wouldn't be able to see the movie, or be tempted into seeing it and well, that'd be their decision to make I guess *shrug*. I wouldn't see it. And then I'd cry. But I'm pretty certain Stephenie will stick to her guns on that...I hope so!!

I am sure that they could do it PG-13, but the question is if Summitt will actually listen. I don't know how much control Steph really has over the movies, or how much they listen to her. I agree that if it were up to Steph it would be PG-13, but it depends on the studio and how much action, blood and sex they will throw into it. Sad to say that Sex sells and they could do that just to sell more tickets, not that it would be needed.

I think even if you don't really show the sex scene or anything the subject material alone might be pushing it toward an R rating. I would love to watch a movie just like the book was written but even Jacob imprinting on nessie might be problematic.

I think I heard somewhere that if it were to be two movies they where going to stop the first one right after she has the baby and she gets turned.

I believe that was just talk here at the Lex.

Sex may sell, but that's not what Twilight is about. Summit needs to think about the total maxim profit that they can make. If the film is rated R there goes the entire under 17 audience which, I'd say, makes a good deal of the audience. Like I said, it won't affect me at all, but it would still bother me a little that the film would be totally opposite of what happens in the book. I do hope that what happens in regards to the sex is done tastfully, there are other things that can be amped up to draw in the audience.
