I absolutely loved The Little Mermaid as a kid and The Lion King is just a classic.
Baha, I few times I was suggesting a few of those movies to a kid I was babysitting, but honestly, I just wanted to have an excuse to watch them  Actually it worked, I had the chance to watch them both heh.

I'm going to age myself! My very first favorite childhood movie that I can remember is The Never Ending Story. And once Beauty and the Beast came out, it too became a favorite along with Labyrith, I almost forgot that one!

oh yay! After that movie came out, I knew I wanted a Luck Dragon. Good luck telling me at 6 years old that they didn't exist!

I already said mine was Pocahontas, but now I remembered why.
Go on youtube.com, and watch some Pocahontas videos. It's absolutely the cutest thing ever (but only the ones from thw first movie, not the second).
I mean, look at this (I know it's french, but it's just better than the english version, and it's only a song anyway):http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=dRqlUN3HyX8

Please do look at it. Even the lyrics are gorgeoud, all about nature and humans but in a smart, not boring way.

CeliAmbre: I was an older child when Pochahontas came out so I was able to appreciate it at a deeper level. The inner conflict, the societal pressures, and the lyrics in the songs, I didn't expect that from a Disney cartoon! It's definitely a film I can watch and not outgrow, it's great at all stages in life, I always take something new from the movie when i watch it.

Yeah, Pocahontas is a classical
I loved Beauty and The Beast too and all those talkative objects
When I was really young I used to watch a barbie Cartoon (I don't even remember if it has a name) like 5 times in a row, all the time. I remember she sang and danced, just that!
Secret garden was my favorite movie when I was an older child, the little girls was the best!

i never really watched disney movies when i was little. my favourite movies when i was little were the neverending story and the BFG. i wore them out because i watched them so much. and both of them are based on books which are fantastic.
