It's actually a fairly short book, but I understand where your coming from. C.S. Lewis is an acquiring taste. I still only like a few of his books, others put me to sleep (The Horse and His Boy, for example).

All I remember about reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was that I was seriously craving Turkish delight. I remember my 3rd grade teacher bringing it in for us for the first time...I was in love

You know. . . .when I was reading that, I asked about everybody I knew what the heck Turkish Delight was, and I finally found out. And then I tried it. . . .the rose kind. It was so good! I want some now!
My aunt had let me borrow a book that was the entire series of the Chronicles of Narnia in one. I tried to read it, honestly I did, but it was just so drab. My mind kept running off while I was reading and I'd end up wondering what I just read. I did, however, love the movie The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was a very nice movie!
