My husband is really the only guy who ever did anything romantic for me. But it is part of his nature, and so I have a few to mention. When we were dating, my Grandfather's wife died, she had been really ill and she didn't care too much for my Grandpa's kids (He wasn't home one day and she wouldn't let my uncle in the house.) At any rate, my Grandpa moved to her dream location, built her the dream house, and lost touch with us. My mom, aunt and I decided to go and support him through the funeral. I hadn't seen him in years, and the last time was right at the beginning of puberty. You know, gawky. The first thing he said to me was "I'm glad you turned out pretty, I was worried for a while." and later he talked about a young boy that he and his wife knew who was "like our grandson." He talked about attending all his baseball games etc, and of course I got upset since he always forgot my bday. As that conversation was ending, my phone rang. It said anonymous call, but I answered, and it was my bf(we are now married). We had barely been dating, but he let me cry it out and then when I got home, I went to his apt and he had bought me a teddy bear and wrote a really cute note with it.
When I went back to college a few monthes later, we lived 90 miles apart. He came to visit and went to my apt while I was at work, and his sweet love notes around the apt for me. Like behind the milk. haha. I smile just thinking about it. He still leaves me notes.
And a note to all the married women who will understand the beauty of this one, he is so good at helping with the house and he rubs my feet, daily when I have been pregnant. He even puts our oldest boy to bed. And just one more, for my bday, he bought a journal, and for about a month and a half before he gave it to me, he wrote his feelings about me and our life together, and some poetry. I got lucky, his romance is part of him, and didn't get lost. This got really long, sorry.

Wow. ^Man, how did you FIND that guy? ^_^ Does it just take an unbearably long time for guys to mature, or do us single gals just have to look harder/be patient? xD

I got really lucky when looking, and I went into it wanting to have fun. He had also been my best friend for a little while. As for waiting for guys to mature, My husband is ten years older than me, so yes, I would say generally it takes guys longer. But I am also lucky. He is so great to me, and I wish everyone could find someone who could be for them what he has been for me.

Well, a guy who pretty much broke my heart two years ago told me recently that he likes me (and I like him too) and he said that he still feels awful about the way things went down two years ago. And he still feels the need to apologize to me and say that he never wants to hurt me like that again. :)

Okay before I tell my story, I have to explain something first. When I was in 5th grade, I developed a skin condition that was left untreated because the doctor was too inexperienced to realize what it was before it had permanently scarred me, literally. So now both of my arms are covered with scars that look like large bug bites, which I will probably have for the rest of my life, and for a (now) 15 year old girl that's very hard to deal with and it has left me very self-concious around guys, so I've never had a real boyfriend.

Now that I explained that, on with the story; I was talking to a friend of mine one day at school and a really cute guy in our class, who I had never talked to, came up to me and asked, "I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I was wondering what happened to your arms? You don't have to tell me if you don't want." since I really don't care if people know what happened, I told him about how I had a skin condition before, and then for some reason I also told him how I wore a sweatshirt everyday in 6th grade because I didn't want people to know about the scars. He nodded his head in understanding and said, and I quote, "You know, you really shouldn't care what people think, you're still pretty." It took all my willpower not to get up and hug him right then, it was really the sweetest thing anybody had ever said to me, and it was so out-of-the-blue, which made it even better. Nothing ever actually came of that, because he has a girlfriend, but it still meant a lot.

My ex-boyfriend.

It wasn't exactly romantic, but what he did told me how much he loved me and cared, that was the best thing.

My sister had an accident, and was really bad, she was in the ICU. After a month or so in my hometown, we went to another city with another specialist. He flew there and stayed with me for two weeks, completely missing his Sprink Break vacations. He spent every day with me, and with my family.

It's something I'll never forget.

When my first boyfriend told me he liked me.
It was just really sweet.
We were chatting one day and it was just like us two, alone. He held my hand and told me he has liked me 'ever since he met meet' it was just the sweetest thing a guy has ever said to me. We went out for two and a half years. He was a total sweetheart.

He called me everyday just to hear my voice/to talk & most of the time he would just call to say I love you. *sighs* I luv that man & am still with him, btw.
