Hi, everybody! Its wonderful to see all of you writershere, as I am a writer myself! I've been writing sicne I was five years old, but i've only ever finished one orgional novel and tw fanfictions. I'm currently writing a new origional novel that's over 200 pages, and a harry Potter fanfiction on the side.
I've got a question; has anyone else here ever written something that was kind of fantasy, but had to be groudned absolutely in the bounds of reality? Does that question even make any sense?
Perfect sense! My main piece right now is based very loosely on my own beliefs as a metaphysicist. It's... fantasy in the sense that most people wouldn't consider it possible, and perhaps to some degree I'm stretching the truth, but it's still *plausible.* One thing I really, really liked in Stephenie's writing was that, though it was fantasy with the vampires and werewolves, she made it feel possible that you could really sit next to a vampire in school. That's how I've always written my stuff, so I was very pleased to find another author who wrote that way. Did that even make sense? :p
