Re: Pronounciation Key
For Carlisle, i used to be like to dumbest person in here. I used to say Car-s-ile and it was wrong and i kinda thought that but thought nothing of it until the movie. Then i read it again and still said the wrong name then like the 4th time i read it i actually read it right.
Renesmee™ and Esme i think sound more like Ruh-nes-mee and not Ruh-nes-may. Same for Esme, i say it like Es-me not Es-may.
But besides that i think i say everything else to the best i can. Except a lot of the odd names in Breaking Dawn but not everyone says it right.

They were not calling to me; they were letting me go, leaving me to the black universe I had wandered for so many lifetimes. It wasn't black at all, it was blue. Warm, vibrant, brilliant blue... i floated into it with no fear at all.

Re: Pronounciation Key
I hadn't any problems with the pronounciation of the names, except of Quileute. It's hard for my german brain to cut "leute",it's an German word and means "people" in English, now I know how it's pronounced, but everytime I read the word I read "leute" as one word.
Maybe it's my advantage to live in Europe and I've had Latin in school, so it wasn't that difficult for me, to know the pronounciations of Caius and Aro.

Breaking Down... What a hard time!!!!
The craziest names ever hahahaha just so you know: I'm afraid to talk about it around here, I'm pretty sure that saying the names out loud will make me want the earth to open and take me
Anyway, I have no one to talk about the books, except for my 14 years old sister (so cute) and she's having a bad time with the names to.
I saw the movie first and then inmediately read the books, but I (don't know why) kept saying Laurent as Lauren (female name, isn't it) oh so embarrasing!

Re: Pronounciation Key
rofl until i corrected them, my new twilighter friends had been mispronounced carlisle as car-lissel, esme as es-mee, and cullen as coo-len. it was hilarious because we were talking about new moon (they had just finished it at that point) and they mentioned them and i was completely clueless as to who they were talking about so i stopped them and they explained, so i corrected them. it was pretty funny.
