What do you think Carlisle's love life was like when he was a human?

I don't think back then, Carlisle had much of a love life. He's only 23, which is considered very young in those days...

Okay let me address this, I believe that MIGHT be a mistake simply because in 1640's 45 was OLD 23 was NOT young, people were married at 15, 16 etc. and had kids and stuff. Life expectancy was waayyy shorter because they though sickness was evil spirits, they were unsanitary etc etc.
I could be wrong... but...i think those were the ages when they dumped their poop into the street and people walked through it. you dont live long like that...

Oh, yes, I seemed to forget about that. But I know that females married at a early age during those times.

What if Carlisle hadnt been a nice guy?

He would be just like any other vampire out there, feeding on humans, living the life of a nomad or having a coven. Was it Carlisle who influenced the change of lifestyle of the Denalis? If he was, then perhaps there will be no vegetarian vampire.

Well, no. They were not that big in the book so why put them in there more than necessary. Since the movie should have been by the book and wasn't, I'm surprised CH did not have them do a stupid scene with them BB-Qing or something. I mean, heck, they cooked a meal for Bella - so whyyyy not?

Maybe. Carlisle scenes are pretty OK, I do wished that they eleborate on his past more and the past of Esme. She did not get to tell her full story to Bella. *It's been long since I last watched the movie.

I think it was in his personality. He was the good guy already. he didn't decide it just came to him. He hated himself so much he couldn't think of taking a human life

He would have married and then died. And TWilight wouldn't exist. Esme, Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett would have DIED!!!

WE all know he didn't like it. but he knew he was next in line to do so he just sucked it up and got over it.

We all know Esme and Carlisle met twice(first: in Columbus, Ohio and second: Ashland, Wisconsin). What do you think was Carlisle's reaction when he saw the Esme in the morgue in Ashland after he hadn't seen her in 10 years?

I don't think he liked it, but he didn't know it was wrong at the time. He loved his father though.

Yes, the movie Carlisle was definately how I pictured Carlisle to be. Of course nothing can be exactly the way people picture it their minds, but it can come pretty close.

Why do you think Carlisle decided to become the good guy?
That's his nature. Its like the "Carlisle way" and to be honest I can't picture Carlisle in any way but being the good guy.
