Re: Vampires of the World
The part when we get to know vampires from the world, even the gifted ones, blew me away! I liked the characters, and I'm sad that Stephenie didn't write more about them. My favourite is Benjamin, because of his power to manipulate the elements! That's pretty cool! Zafrina also left an impression, because the visions and the ability to blind someone is awesome!
Re: Vampires of the World
I thought it was really awesome to get to meet all the new characters. I always like seeing what SM will come up with for new gifts. Except, in the back of the Breaking Dawn book, there is an index of all the vampires but some of them dont say exactly what their powers are. Like Heidi ( who we met in New Moon) and then Afton, Corin, and Marcus's dead wife, Didyme. I am interested in what there powers are, even if it has no impact on the book as it is, I am still uber curious. Any idea if the character bio is going to be updated with these characters?
I have to admit that before BD came out, I had thought about what my gift would be if I was changed into a vampire. Usually I have a lot of static electricity, so I figured, in my dream world, I would be able to shoot lightning. I when we were introduced to Kate's power, I was like that is so MINE.

I think that it will be really interesting reading more about the Vampires of the World in the Twilight Guide that is coming out this year. I hope it has backstories and all that jazz
On another note: I just cannot imagine the Amazons hunting humans. I think that they would fit in with the "vegetarian" lifestye and it would just suit them

I totally agree with you about the Amazon vampires!!! They just seem so pure, and i could never imagine them hunting humans, especialy how much Zyfrania loves Renesme!obsessedsmallgirl3 wrote:I think that it will be really interesting reading more about the Vampires of the World in the Twilight Guide that is coming out this year. I don't believe she has a mate, Jess Is Me. Its not mentioned in the book or the index in the back, so I assume she simply hasn't found one yet.
*shrugs*
Hmmm..... I was thinking...
If you could join any of these covens, which one would you join and why?
Sign me up for the Irish coven! I've always wanted to live in the Brisitsh Isles! ALso, it'd be very cool to live with them, I like Siobahn.

Re: Vampires of the World
As previosly stated I liked the introduction of new vampires in BD. It gave us a break to see new people besides the Cullens. We got to see how they live their lives, how they relate to each other, and now how they come together for a common goal. That isn't somethine you see in most vampire books. Vampires who have had quarells in the past are now working together to fight a group who has to much power. We got to see the different abilities in the new people and how they worked to help Bella discover her potential.
As many have said I loved Garrett from the moment he came. He just seemed so cool! I also love his line to Kate!!!!
I also liked Ben alot. I told my borther about his power and he was like "yes it is about time someone has that gift!"
Love it all

I agree with everyone's post! I loved the introduction to the new Vampires, althought I can read about the Cullens *forever*!
My favorite vamp was the Amazons. I love female impowerment, and even though they are all death-pale, I still bet they have killer tans! Favorite powers were Ben's, I forgot who said it on Page 2, but it mirrors The Avatar's power, and I always love me some Aang!

I really really loved Garrett's character and how he ended up joining the Denali coven. he was hilarious and it was interesting to see how his character went from being a nomad on his own to testing out the "vegetarian" lifestyle and going with Kate.
