Now, I'm not even sure why I bought the DVD in the first place. Ah well, it can be a collectible.
I'm only going to buy it because it's Twilight, and I love the saga. So I think the movie should be in my dvd-collection just based on that. I just wish it would have been sooo much better. Not all movies have such a great story to start with like Twilight had, so I'm really sad they couldn't make it better.

One thing I really didn't like about the movie was how Kristen Stewart kept blinking and stuttering throughout the movie. It was too unnatural and it really bothered me.

But it's not as terrible as I first thought, it's still not a great film or anything, but you should try watching it multiple times, see if it gets any better.
this is actually really true for me too. i watched it again yesterday for the first time in a while.. so i kind of had fresh eyes on it again, but i still knew when the parts i didnt like were coming up. i find i like it more everytime i watch it because i can revel in the good stuff and kind of ignore the sucky things. it was actually really enjoyable!

Okay, I finally watched the movie for the first time and all I can think is how in the world did this excruciating piece of work make so much money. It was painful to watch, the only way I could endure it was playing the book through my mind. It breaks my heart that a beautiful love story was so badly portrayed on film. I pray to God that New Moon is better, because I don't think I can sit through another two hours of this crap.

^^Nothing to add. Just a round of applause for your comment, Kachiti. Agree 100 %. All the way through I kept thinking: That's not the way it happened. That's not right. They got that all wrong.
I will watch it again though. Some people here have said that it does do better after more viewings when you know what to expect. Maybe it will.

Why should someone have to see multiple showing of a movie to like it? I mean I fell in love with Twilight the first time I read it not the second or third time. Honestly, if wasn't for the book would you even bother watching it again?

^^That is the only reason for watching it again. I want to see if it really was as bad as I remember. I ordered it from amazon yesterday, since it's not out on dvd in my country yet. And I will have it in my collection, because it's part of Twilight. And part of me wants to love it, but I know that will never happen.
I agree with you. You really shouldn't have to see it several times to like it. I went into the movie theater expecting to absolutely love it. And I most certainly didn't.... With the book, I liked it just by reading the cover. It just captured my interest right away, and I loved every single page of Twilight. When I see people writing reviews for the movie on for instance amazon.com, and they just go overboard in saying how much they loved it, I'm thinking: Did we even watch the same movie? But I guess it's because I feel so strongly about Twilight, and many of the people who saw it had not even read the books. So of course my views are strongly colored by my huge interest in this incredible story.

The reviews here weren't great so I didn't have high expectation but I didn't realize that it was that bad. I think I need to read
Midnight Sun and Twilight again to get the bad movie out of my head.

I was thoroughly disappointed in the film adaptation of Twilight, so I made my own video critique/interpretation of it. WARNING: it is absurdly immature! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsFYT_-Ycsg
