Re: Gilmore Girls
One of the many great GG quotes!debussygirl wrote:Does anyone get my avvie?
This last week I've been sick so what's better to watch then GG when lying on the couch! I started back at Season 1, I'm now up to Season 3!
I really liked Luke and Lorelia and Rory and Jesse. I wish they (R+J) would have gotten back together when he came back and showed her his book! Oh well I'm just glade she didn't end up with Logan.
Re: Gilmore Girls
Ohhh first time on the GG thread and I'm so excited to find it!!
Um... I'm not sure I could choose between Sookie or Lane -- Sookie can COOK but Lane brings the musical knowledge.
I loved the Rory/Logan relationship when they first got together -- even during The Terrible Estrangement. I also loved Luke/Lorelei for almost their entire relationship.
The beauty of all the pop culture references is that they make re-watching the episodes much more interesting because you can be like "Oh, wait, now I get that!!"
Have you guys already discussed how the final season was a bit of a ripoff?

Yay! I'm glad some people on here get my avvie!! I just thought it was so funny.
Yeah, the last season was a bit disappointing. I mean, with Lorelai with Chris, and not really getting much closure with Rory. But at least Lorelai and Luke sorta got back together on the very last episode.

Re: Gilmore Girls
Yeah I really didn't like the last season or how ended. I didn't feel like I got closure:/
I'm just starting to watch Season 3 Epi. 7 - The one where L&R do the 24h dance marathon!!!

Re: Gilmore Girls
Yeah...def no closure with Rory. I didn't want her to marry Logan BUT... I didn't like her "ending." Bleh.
And I HATED Lorelai & Christopher. The Lorelai & Luke ending was totally rushed & half-done.
love the dance marathon episode! Also where Rory breaks up with Dean (for the first time), right? And gets togetherish with Jess? I liked grown-up Jess so much!

The dance marathon episode was my favorite, followed by Romeo and Juliet, followed by the Pilot.

I don't get it. I've been trying to figure it out, but can't!
I agree the last season ending kind of sucked. There was no closure & you didn't really have any idea where their lives were going to go.
I was glad that Luke/Lorelai kind of got together there at the end.
I wasn't a big fan of Rory/Logan. I never really liked him. And it seemed their relationship was always about sex. I really liked her and Dean in the beginning, wasn't too fond of Jess at first. But the older, more muture Jess I liked.
I hope in a few years they'll do a reunion show or movie so we can see what happened with them.

Re: Gilmore Girls
Lorelai: Heh, you know what I just realized? "Oy" is the funniest word in the entire world.
Rory: Hmm.
Lorelai: I mean think about it, you never hear the word "oy" and not smile. Impossible. Funny, funny word.
Emily: Oh dear God.
Lorelai: "Poodle" is another funny word.
Emily: Please drink your drink, Lorelai.
Lorelai: In fact, if you put "oy" and "poodle" together, in the same sentence, you'd have a great new catchphrase, you know? Like, "Oy with the poodles already."
Rory: Hehe.
Lorelai: So from now on, when the perfect circumstances arise, we will use our favorite new catchphrase:
Rory: Oy with the poodles already.
Lorelai: I'm telling you, it's knocking "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" right out of first place.
And thus my avvie was born!
