Actually, when you get a burn like that, your nerve endings usually get burnt off so you won't feel a lot of pain.

You were sad at a funeral... ? You weirdo.

Hey--don't feel weird--I do the same thing all the time--I have to leave rooms during fights I'm not involved in because I can't handle the anger coming off of other people. I started bawling loudly at the funeral of a kid I barely knew from feeling everyone else's pain. I totally understand that. I also have dreams that come true. Seriously. My mother does the same thing, and my grandmother did, too, when she was alive.

Well, the thing is that I shouldn't have felt that sad because I didn't even know her grandfather. In fact the only people there I knew were my friend, her mum, and her brother. Therefore I really had no rational reason to be that overwehlmed with grief. Especially because I am not the type of person who cries or anything like that. In fact the only time I have ever cried (unless it was when I was really young or I got seriously hurt) was when I was attacked by 5 or 6 guys in an alley way a few years ago. So, yes, that was rather out of character for me to feel like that.

I had one of my psychic dreams again.

My brothers ex was in my dream last night, and today, my mother saw her driving past.

Actually, know-it-all, 2nd degree burns are usually EXTREMELY painful--3rd degree burns are the ones where your nerve endings are burnt off. Next time you want to debunk something, do some research first.

You're so silly.

Actually, nerve endings may or may not be burnt off in any degree burn (3rd degree burns are usually incredibly painful too). I was just trying to get the point across that just because you feel minimum pain from a burn, doesn't mean you're not human. It depends on where you burnt yourself, how bad the burn was, what you were burnt with and your body's natural reaction to pain. Some people can't feel any pain (I saw them on Oprah!!) but that's because they have a genetic disorder. Genetic "disorders" and "malfunctions" are a part of being human. Human bodies are incredibly complex and no two are the same. So thinking you're special for being a little different from what you think the norm is only means that you need to get out more.

--
And I just want to tell y'all that regardless of who the funeral is for, you're going to be upset if you see others upset, especially if you know the reason why. If you saw a random little girl on the street crying because her kitty just got smushed, you'd want to cry too (or at least I know I'd be fighting back tears)-- it's human nature to feel sympathetic for others going through rough times. Sympathy is our body's way of preparing itself to support the grieving. Some are able to feel more deeply than others depending on certain chemical in/balances in their bodies and how they were raised.
It's like a dream- no end and no beginning.

^^Actually, the doctor said that the burn didn't do any nerve damage. And I never feel sympathy...but my shrink thinks my mind is screwy anyway so it could just be that. The only time I ever feel sympathy is when its someone else's and I feel sick because I can't stand it...my mum and shrink are starting to wonder if I'm a masochist or something.

I have those weird psychic dreams too..apparently I used to sit in front of the tv and blurt things out that wasn't possible for me to know. Also, I sometimes get a weird feeling like I am going to get a text or something from my boyfriend asking about something in particular and I know this before I get it..not sure if this is psychic or just knowing my boyfriends too well lol

OK, don't laugh, but I knew when all three of my grandparents died before anyone told me. I don't believe in most psychic stuff at all, but that did really happen. Two of them died several states away, and I called my mom to see what was wrong because I just knew they had passed, and they did. It was a long time ago, but it still sends shivers down my spine when I remember.

Girl, that's what sympathy is. Feeling other peoples' pain.
