Rob didn't make it big. The director's are looking for "hot" guys so girls come and watch, but that's not what it's about. The main fanbase for Twilight Movie came from the books.

I agree with you to an extent. Twilight was big even before Rob. He wasn't really all too known before that. He did HP, but it wasn't that big a part. But I also think that he developed a huge fan base after Twilight, and I think Summit will try to attract as many screaming girls as possible by having Rob appear more in the movie. There is no doubt in my mind that he will attract a fair bit of non-readers. Most of the viewers will go to see it because they have read the book, but I think Summit will use Rob for what he's worth.
Not saying that it would necessarily be all bad if the make her hallucinations visual. It might look very good, since audio hallucinations might not work well. But that will change the story a bit. So I would prefer if they didn't, but I'm gonna stay optimistic about this one.

Not sure about the party yet...My time zone is so different from yours. I think it might be max 5 people online when I'm here.

Dovrebanen, I do agree that Rob draws in a crowd. But I think that it's a relatively small crowd. He certainly doesn't harm the people coming in, that's for sure.
I like that they're making Edward visual for the movie, just because as a movie I think it'll work better than just audio. But I think that Bella shouldn't be able to see Edward, like he should be behind her or something. The only time she should visualize him is when she jumps off the cliff.

Well, I'm guessing Bella would be a veggie vamp then, if she were around human kids and not eat them? So I think it would have been more, "Hey, you're a vamp too, cool" and their relationship would've been more open than it had been before, and Edward would have been a bit less protective since she would've been a vamp.

People read the books and (naturally) became obsessed over them. Other people wanted to know what the heck they were screaming about, so they saw it too. That's what really made it big. Those movie people are just fooling themselves.

Among Twilighters Rob didn't make it big. But for those who had never read the books before Rob drew them in. I got sucked in to see what all the hype is about. And really the whole Rob-thing isn't my words, it's what the magazines are saying. I agree with it a little bit, but anyone who reads the books knows it's the story...

When I first heard that they were going to have more Rob/Edward in NM than what's in the books I was like noooooo. They need to stay to the book. But if it's just going to be her "seeing" Edward instead of just hearing him I think it could work & be okay. I also heard somewhere that they might show the phone call when Edward thinks that Bella's dead. I am just going to wait & see how it all turns out in the movie come November.

Hmmm interesting question. I will say yes. I would think they would be able to tell that they're both vamps & it definitely would have made the relationship easier and more open from the beginning. And then Edward wouldn't have been so protective since she wasn't a fragile human, and never would have left & we wouldn't have NM & Eclipse. And then there would be no Jacob situation (ooo. there's a thought. Imagine him never being her friend after he changed because she was his mortal enemy.)

Yeah, thats' a great idea. If we could see him behind her (or just flash to him), and Bella couldn't. That would make the movie visually good, but at the same time stay true to the story. I agree that she should see him at cliff diving, when she let's go of everything and just let herself feel the loss and the longing.
I just have to say; I loved the trailer!

I can't picture Edward and Bella ever not being together. So I think their relationship would have progressed a bit more rapidly if she was a vampire too. Edward wouldn't have had to hide who he was, and he wouldn't have to worry about hurting or possibly killing her. They would have been more equals from the start. Still soul mates, and still fall madly in love with each other, I think.

Well I didn't get that opinion after last night, so yes Twilighters and world-wide new fans of the sage want Rob. You just
can't have Twilight now without Rob. Maybe that is going over board, So let me take that back, The movie will be a greast sucess without Rob, but it will be so much more with him now. I have never seen one person that has had this inpact ont such a world wide effect as Rob has. But they are both tied together so the need each other.
