I do NOT believe in true love.
Sorry to squash those who do, but I truly do not.
Everyone has those experiences, when you're with someone, and you say, "They are the one." I have said that multiple times, and it never worked out.
The only true love I have heard of has been in books, magazines, movies, TV shows, etc.
You don't see someone and instantly fall in love with them, like it is portrayed in the media.
But I do agree with Karl, maybe true love is a state of mind.
This is an interesting topic, and I'm sure I'll be posting here soon, when I think about this more.

I'm not sure whether to believe or not.
I really can't decide. I mean it could exist, look at some people who stay with each other long enough to get married, but they never lose interst or cheat or anything of that matter.
but it could be a myth.
or like karl said it could just be a state of mind.
to me love is just there.
there is no true love, or fake love or anything like that.
loves just love.
it takes many forms, too many to list.
but it's still there, is it not?

Derek how old are you?
Of course nothing has worked out yet! I don't think that teenagers are mature enough to really know what true love means. And teens are so young and all of the crushes and girl/boyfriends that people have as a teenager to me are really just testing out what sort of person they like.
But I've known too many real couples to say that there is no such thing as true love. This doesn't mean they don't have their problems, but they just love each other too much to let something stupid get in the way of them being together.

Okay, I agree Jenna.
I was just having some issues with love when I posted that.
I believe what Chelsea said, TRUE love doesn't exist, the whole, "I saw her, and I was frozen staring at her, and she was the one." But I do believe that people can be in love and be happy.
Just not that sensation that they portray in movies and all that.
So I believe in love, but true love is another thing.
But it could be like Karl said, you have to believe it's true love. It just doesn't happen.
You have to honestly love that person.

Good point guys.

But I do believe true love comes in different packages
and it gets delivered to our front door anytime. What I'm
trying to say people can find true love even as a teenager,
a young adult(like me) or an adult.

It doesn't mean that once that package/person has come through
your door but it wasn't actually addressed to you can't be delivered back
again to you, but this time its for you.

Putting it in more simpler terms people get second chances and not everything
that went wrong is a mistake. I believe in serendipity.

Oh, of course I don't believe in love at first sight. That's lust at first sight, not love.
Then Derek is that what you think true love is...the at first sight thing? Sorry I'm having trouble understanding.
True love I think takes a while to develop and that it's ultimately being unselfish in your love for another person.

Well I do believe in "love at first sight", it's probable or plausible at least.

Who are we to know or to choose that the person we fall in love with or the
person we are attracted to by first sight to, either to their physical or inner
beauty is the one we are meant to be with.

I can agree to it being plausible. But I think it should be approached in an intelligent manner, so that you don't loose your head every time you see someone particularly attractive.
Precisely because death awaits us in the end, we must live fully.

Stars did fly toward each other, irresistibly, as if they were falling in love. And millions of years later, lovers on Earth drew together and fell in love, watching the stars fall.
