I looked her up on imdb, and she hasn't been on much, but of course that doesn't mean too much considering she's young and getting her career started.
Maybe she could work, but I'd want to see her act first.

And yeah, I agree, Katniss will be hard. Some people have said that Bianca Malino fits the part, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

Is that girl a good actress? I don't recognize her. I just hope that whoever they choose will be able to blow us away with her acting, she could either make the film or ruin it. That may be why hollywood generally goes with older actors to portray the younger ones, they are more mature (not to say there aren't mature 16 year olds) and more experience. But there are also actresses like Dakota Fanning who is amazing. They are just pretty rare at that age. Maybe they just haven't been found yet and need to be given a chance, who knows.

I'm not against having an "older" actress portray Katniss. If she still looks to be a teenager, it's all good -- as long as she does a good job. It's not like the wrinkles are appearing at 24!

EW NO!
i that person plays katniss i will freakin kill the movie screen.
i would rather have rob pattz in a wig play her thatn that girl

I saw this girl as a suggestion for Katniss:

I still don't know what I think.
Amanda Gallo

I have no idea if she's a good actress. That photo was taken about a year ago, and she isn't normally quite that pale.

Haha - I'm going off her already.

True, hair doesn't grow too fast, and a wig might look weird.

Katniss is a really hard part to cast.
I just hope they don't make her a Disney star, like Miley Cyrus or Vanessa Hudgens.
If that one rule is followed I'm all set. :D

I wonder how long it'll take HG to get going on the movie department.
Some movies take forever. Like I think Enchanted was on disney's shelf for 20 years or something. Of course, they'll probably want to make it while it's hot. But still, if it takes 5 years, some of these actors will be too old.
