The Hunger Games/Catching Fire/Mockingjay

Post by una »

Here is a new thread for discussing Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games and her new sequel Catching Fire.

Enjoy!

ETA: However, since Catching Fire was just released, please wait a week or two (or whatever you all have decided on) before discussion it...keep it spoiler free for a bit! Thanks!

Yay!!!!!!!!!! First post!!!!!

Pardon the excitement, its my first, first post on a thread.

I've read The Hunger Games and it was awesome. I am waiting desperately for Catching Fire but it will come after 1 month or so in India.

^^Dang, you beat me! Oh well.

The old thread got locked a page too soon! :)

And we can't discuss Catching Fire yet. I'd say maybe a week till we can post anything about it, but it has to be spoiler alerted and in small letters, then after two weeks we can talk about it all we want.

*dances* Man, that was awesome! I stayed up till 11 to finish it. :D

2 week Catching Fire conversation freeze until 9/15/09

If I was in India, I would need a friend to ship me a copy of the book. I don't wait well.

I won't be able to get and read Catching Fire for a while because I'm so busy with my college classes and campus stuff. I'm going on a 3 day retreat, so I'll make sure I'll at least have it by then.

Won't be back on the thread until I read it. Hope everyone enjoys Catching Fire! :D

Even I don't wait well. :D Twilight movie didn't get released here so I had to watch it online and the DVD's still not here so I gave up hope on my country and asked my dad to get it for me from US.

Its a lucky thing I have my midterms this month so I will just concentrate on them and wait for CF to come here.

Oh no! Not until September 15th!
I may go crazy...no one else I know reads HG! Of course, I spill everything out to my family anyway, but they don't care. They didn't get it when I was talking about Peeta at first. They thought I meant the bread.

^^Oh, haha no I got it the 2nd. I meant we can't talk about CF until the 15th so I may go crazy keeping it all in. I just finished it. Wow.
But Scholastic also sent me like 6 other books to try and make up for not getting me the ARC or the mockingjay pin. There's only 2 I'm interested in. The rest are Meg Cabot and real life scenario books, which don't hold much interest for me, personally.
