Re: Braces

I'm scared of braces! My mother and some others have been bugging me about getting them because of my 'not-so-neat' teeth. But I won't do it.

To have braces means I'll have to extract at least 4 teeth(?) and someone will have to knock me unconscious before I do that.

Actually, my problem isn't that bad. It's just that the 2 teeth (5 & 6) on either side of my front teeth (1 & 2) don't have space to grow properly.

Anyway, if I really want perfect teeth, I'll do braces when I get older. Perhaps then, my tolerance of pain will be higher.

Ah braces, an ingenius trture device used by the Roman Empire on upstart Christian heretics, documented in the Collusseum pillars for posterity's sake.

I have had braces....
and it wasn't so bad...
I was really young when I got them, I was 12.
First the outside thing to get my jaw straight and them the inside thing to get my teeth straight..
I had them for 3 years, which was really short according to the dentist.

I can advise everybody.....How painful or difficult or embarrasing it seems at the moment just do what the dentist tells you..the sooner those things can come out..
and the results are really awesome...
These violent delights, have violent endings...Like fire and gunpowder, they consume what they kiss

I've had my braces for about eight months now, and I love the progress I'm seeing! :D
I'm just like counting down to next October, when I get them off and finally get to see how my teeth look. ((10 more months!!!!!!))
I heard retainers suck though.

^^They do. Bad.
So my friend has braces right now and has to wear those awful rubber-bands. That was probably actually the one part of braces that I detested. I would always snap them when I laughed.

My friends never told me what sucked so bad about them, though. They just say they're uncomfortable, ha.
I am so glad I don't have the rubber bands yet. My friend always snaps them also.

They're just a pain to put in and out, not losing them, cleaning them. Ugh, no matter how hard you try there will always be what my orthodontist called a "spit ring" where all the gunk is.

Yeahh, I figured that whole taking it out, putting it in today when I was hanging out with my friend and we'd eat food at different times throughout the time we were together.
*makes a disgusted face at the "spit ring" comment*
